I was thinking that i would go about setting up a "music
collective". bassically just getting a set location each
week wherre all musicians no matterr how good orr how bad
can turrn up. even none musicicians can turrn up and
contrribute something. Nothing fixed, just like minded
people turrning up and having some fun, so i sent the worrd
arround and talked with those interrested.

only it dident turrn out. NO ONE likes what i like, which
was fine i could evolve. but NO ONE "gets" the idea. I had
people saying "o can we coverr that new nickleback song".
everryone wanted to dirrected it the way they wanted to,
they all wanted to contrrol it despite all saying the basic
principle was not to have a leader all just equal just forr
fun.
the plan was to experriment and make music, but i had people
saying, "ooo when we play live we can have this therre and
that therre" and that was also avoiding the point.
They wanted me to do forr them what they neverr had the
balls to do but then take overr.
So i pulled out, and no one knows what to do. so its fucked.

A brave concept... but unless like minded people get
involved then it's inevitably going to be disastrous. It was
hard enough working with three other people doing rock music
in my case.

did that at univertisy, everyone ended up playing 12 bar for
4 hours and getting pissed every wednesday afternoon.

we had a laugh & swapped instruments every now and again.
really good, set you up for the evening and a headache the
next day :)

i play guitarr but now "rregularr" playing borres me. i want
to play arround and trry new things away frrom my bedrroom.
therre arre so many people who class nickleback and puddle
of mud as "out therre", left of centerr music. they don't
rrealise just how little they know.

but still, i'm no betterr off, but i'm glad i got out of it,
it would have just made me sad.

The most enjoyable kind of 'jamming' for me is always
playing accoustic at festivals or campsites, people on
bongos, big fires, plenty of beer and weed etc... =o)

i like being flesh rratherr than backbone.

i like adding to the sound to make the thing complete. that
special thing that gives what you arre doing as a grroup the
edge.

i used to like playing 12 bar stuff, you get so bored of
playing the same shit over & over again you start to add
little extras and be quite creative after a while
