Mouse Traps

Those popular snap mousetraps where you put the little
piece of cheese down and the mouse goes to eat it and
snap...

Does the metal bar instantly kill the mouse, or does it cut
it's airway off and suffocate it....

I'm feeling sad for the little dead thing.

did you kill one already?

I think the idea is it kills it pretty quick, but if that
mouse is fast, then he might move a bit, and it will catch
his leg or something. Then he will starve to death, with
his nose inches from the cheese.......

oh man, that sux ass

ago...they break their back... i remember bringing a trapped
mouse outside while it was still in the trap and as i put it
down it looked up at me and i felt horrible....would never
do such a thing now or ever

They are very cruel....as they only kill instantly about 25%
of the time...

The rest of time, the mouse dies very slowly....

:(....

(sorry...had to bury one of our pet rats yesterday so am a
bit upset re: rodents....1 down, 4 to go..:(...we bought em
all at same time so they are likely to all go at a similar
time too....

double :( :(...

WTF?!?!!?!?

THIS THREAD IS EVIL?!

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO KILL A MOUSE?

THEY CAN BE YOUR FRIEND! ONLY GIVE THEM CHEESE

I hand-made non-lethal traps a couple of years ago, so I
just catch and release them into the wild. No harm done...

...at least if my cats don't catch them first.

By the way, alot of the time the bar catches a limb, to
which the mice are left to naw thier own arms or legs off.

Very sad sight. There are lots of humane ways of catchig a
mouse. It can be quite fun to get creative.

Just give em cheese and then they will be your friend...
then you can go "Hey mousey, you know... I have been giving
you cheese for a while.... I was wondering if you could play
with your other mousey friends outside... cause I am a too
poor to buy you more cheese"

It usually cuts them in half I think... My mate use to keep
a loaded mouse trap in his bag when he left it around the
school to snap the fingers of anyone who rummaged through
it.

We had mice recently. We just used one of those poisoned
food traps.
