Demo Worthy?(Final)

okay..I hace the third an final of the track I wann
consider sending for demos it's here

QoMA

those who have the other two songs already please load them
into your play list in the following order

1.QoMA
2.Fold and Facilitate
3.Porntorn

those who dont have the other two tracks and want them..they
are here

fold and facilitate and porntorn

I know my stuff doesnt sound like it but there is a method
to my madness..the ending of QoMA leads into the beginning
of Fold and Facilitate and so on...

QoMA has a more irregular beat work..tthe beatwork
consolidates a bit of Fold and Facilitate and solidifies on
Porntorn where a melody of sorts is also introduced..until
it all falls apart towards the end of Porntorn...or at least
that's my theory anyway and yerg banf it I am standing by
it...

please let me know if I am barking up the right tree or the
wrong one..
cheers:)

thanks guys but the actual sending is still a bit of a way
off..I have to do some graphic design and then gather the
monetary sources...remember I am sending em from the arse

mm yes, Flea, I like it.. like how the beat drops in, kind
of sneaky, so it feels like it sidled in or something.. :)

mm.. although over the whole of the track there is the
danger that it sounds a bit "samey".. like it needs a break
or something...

anyway, send those demo's!

thanks a lot people..really encouraging:)

yes so the track list is finalized...I have laid out a
financial plan as well...so over the next several weeks I
will be say sending out 2 demos a month or something like
that..still a bit vague..but..it's crystalizing slowly..
more feedback will be encouraging:)

how important is it to most labels for a demo to have a

vector/3D imagery..but the bunny idea..of Iroel kinda stuck
with me too..I have done some of these in the past...

as far as the label goes
so far I have decided on
Tigerbeat6
Schematic
planet mu
and MAS

any input from you will be muchly appreciated:)

I would try warp too, why not?

also, you could try mego, although I'm having a hard time
finding out whether they even accept demo's (they don't
reply to my e-mail, so I'm figuring I'll just send a demo to
their post-adress - kind of force it down their
throat...)..

Fat Cat maybe?

Skam?

um..thoughts of sending em off to WARP, SKAM and REPHLEX
gimme a few fan boy jitters..:)

I thought you had to be sorta established to approach
Warp?.

but once I have gathered up courage..who knows:)

That art it's really cool and would fit your music very
much...

But still even the bunny would be nice since it makes a nice
contrast to your alienating music...

=D

You're music is already better than a lot of stuff on
labels. just look at dino felipe's album. getting money
would be nice of course. being semi famous in the subculture
would be weird, being asked for interviews, searching for
your name on google to see what comes up (what final name
are u choosing for your demos?), people discussing your
music in messageboards. that would be hard to do with so
many musicians and so much software. I'm pretty sure it's
only big labels that'd care if you play live. I'd never want
to do that.

no, I don't think you have to be established.. warp has a
reputation for "stealing" acts from smaller labels, yeah,
but they still accept demo's..

I say: why not try warp/skam/rephlex? your chances of
succeeding are smaller than with smaller labels, but that
doesn't make it not worth a try..

personally, if I would get signed by schematic, I would
faint. :)

eventually but I figured out the postage etc and the costs
involved and they are like.....ouch..but another thing is
that I dont to do is to send em out till the Xmas New Year
mail out rush and holidays are done with..becuae it takes a
week or so to get the things mailed from down here to
northern hemisphere...I know I know I am boring you all with
logistics..bt yes..I am fully underway..and the design
ideas..might end up being a mix of both..(thank you Iroel
for the kind words about my art...qrter for the
encouragement to venture..and wMw about the music..I ended
up getting a straight compliment out of you....whooeee:) )

the three I mentioned..I keep reading about how the guys
listening to em dont wanna snooze off..so I am limiting to
three...no long intro's, no moments of ambience...punch and
grab..hit and run..that sorta thing:)

1.QoMA
2.fold and facilitate
3.porntorn

If you can't find the address to MAS (I couldn't) someone
gave it to me by email so I have it somewhere, but I have to
dig to find it. That's a pretty short little cd, might as
well include a few more? If they choose to go to sleep after
3, they can. Or if they want to continue, they can. It
wouldn't cost you anything extra. maybe ouchbot or that
first track at loudboyscout.

hmm..Doo Daa(ouchbot)..yeah I was thingking about that one
too...but it's just that the style shifts drastically..that
song's like drill'n'bass...same with Loud Boy Scout...but
yeah I will think about that:)..any other knobject tracks
that you may suggest?..Lucky Donkey Condom Company... maybe?
or You Me and the Buzzy Bee??

plus have you heard effing effer2 yet?

here http://www.zebox.com/spinymurex

I know it's a bit repetitive but its like my gantz graz..(I
know I know yet another one:)..but that bloody track has had
a profound effect on me..much like Aphex's Equation
did..hehheh)

but while you are at it please gimme the Schematic
address...you have sent em one havent you..

yeah, they post that for easy convenience on their website
(mu does too)

Schematic Music Company
5781 Biscayne Blvd.

... for 10 bucks you might double check that... I'm usually
neurotic with stuff like that, I have to check like 8 times
to make sure it's the correct one... and when I set my alarm
clock I have to do it about 8 times too.

what'd be cool is to put really evil words and sentences but
really small in the bottom right of the cute rabbit picture,
so you get tricked when you look closer. They should really
do something like that with kid shows like barney and bears
big blue house too. it'd be sorta like that one flash
animation of that moose or something someone posted where it
appears like it's aimed at a target audience of children,
then all the kids fly off the play toy in a bloody mess.

Flea, you know what I think about your music and these
tracks only reinforce my opinion. As for contacting labels,
i have no idea about who would be the best choice. If I made
music like this, I'd just put it out myself and do a
mailorder distribution and try to get it distributed by some
distros... I wish you luck, mate.
