I don't like grantz graf at all.I bought it today and IMO it is shite.To me it doesn't sound professional at all. I am so dissapointed at it.3 tracks!And a dvd(I don't own a dvd player either!). It just sounds like a load of jumbled up noises in no particular order,with no tone. Pointless topic,I know just posting my opinion. Does anyone feel the same? Does anyone know dislike me? lol! |

it's a very hard ep to understand. Have you ever tried to make something like that? it's not just something thrown together. aside from the music, the range of tones produced is really complicated. quite honostly sounds you have never heard before. but I can completely understand how someone could not like it. it's a strange one. I love it, but I have loved everything autechre ever did. And unlike most people none of their stuff ever has to grow on me for a long period. I usually pop it in and say "dang I like it" _john |

because I took all of the old songs off of the site and uploaded all the new ones. So apparently when there is no music on your mp3 site then the site kinda doesn't exist anymore. as soon as they approve my new songs it should be back in action. _john |

I doubt they are up on slsk man, there are two different tracks with the word "uigig" in them.. another one called "is oil my eyes lush" anymore I'm not naming them for the time being. there is an old aphex twin hoax I made called "jensen" it sucked. |

gantz graf is beautifully crafted. enormous amount of detail. the whole thing whirls and shifts and dips.. the video is good, but the track is BEST. wonderful texture of sound. a real ride, gantz graf. |

and confield is indeed, genius.. did you read the AFX interview on watmm, the one the Warp site picked up upon? in there he says he thinks confield is brilliant, the only ae he can really get into. |

Okay Ill admit too that Im not an Autechre fan. They have nice samples but I dont dig theyre struture. "Random number generators and chaos machines"? Are they writing these songs at all? Really conceptual at times, so Id rather read about them then listen to 'em. |

I agree- I know I'm hardly a big autechre fan, but I like some of their stuff and admit they have a great deal of skill/talent. However, this release is, IMO rubbish. It's too far removed from music. It is merely noise... Artistic chin stroking ponderings aside, I can't see what people would get out of listening to this. |

don't you people understand Gantz Graf, Dial and Cap.iv? If their next album proves anything (by going more for melody) GG was the pinnicle of monstrous structure thats been growing for 10+ years! GG only goes to show the rawness of Autechre and they let it all out on GG. if you can't understand that then...id just say move on on sp or afx. autechre is my fav and their whole discography has seriously been leading to something. not like afx where all his cds are compilations. pretty dumb planning on his part...but good music. |

Richard isnt one anything outside of the actuall song. His sleeve inserts are small as shit, His track names are hard to remember if any, but that goes with his smartass persona. How would you have planned the tracks for rdj or ctd? |

Gantz graf really grew on me. For the first five times I heard it, I thought it was a waste of money. I thought the video was cool, but the music was too harsh for my tastes. But after a while I began to appreciate all the subtle things happening in the track, and it's quite beautiful in some way. And I still love the video, i'm glad I was able to pick up the dvd single. |

whats up with you people?... If you don't like Gantz Graf or any Autechre album PLEASE don't waste bandwith talking about it. I don't go there talking about what music or bands I don't like, if I don't like something simply I don't listen to it. People, some of your posts looks like you're unhappy for don't get as much into Autechre as others do. It's just a matter of taste Btw, the melody and samples in Cap.IV are intriguing. |
