skinny puppy, smashing pumpkins are good

But squarepusher is the fucking daddy and kicks their ass's
all over the place IMHO

Similar to Front Line Assembly, NIN, Wumpscut, Front 242,
etc. But they are the best at what they do, IMHO. And guess
what? They're Canadian. Autechre remixed one of their songs
for the 'Remix Dys Temper' album, if you needed more reason
to check them out.

Cool, maybe I'll get one of my Norweigan connections to tape
it for me. You may want to tape it yourself, you might be
able to make a few bucks on Ebay with it.

oh thats me!

i know who squarepusher is. i have all his cds. except for
that one with squiggly green lines on the cover. he's
awesome.

i see, i thought you were asking if he was cool to get an
idea of what his music sounded like (as if you never heard
his music).

squiggly green lines - selection16?

sel16 is worth it for 'square rave' alone, one of my
favorite squarepusher tracks, probably his most underrated
track of all time!

offline Amonbrune from Vancouver (Canada) on 2002-11-29 16:12 [#00461639]

yeah...i just remembered after i posted. i dled it... i'll
get it when i have the money. its not my biggest priority
in music right now... Francisco Lopez, Biosphere's Shenzou,
Bernhard Gunter are on the top right now. i must get those.

offline CORTEX from Canada on 2002-11-29 16:14 [#00461640]

Square Rave kicks ass, and so does his other track on
selection 16 called Snake ... something...

offline Amonbrune from Vancouver (Canada) on 2002-11-29 16:16 [#00461644]
Points: 7327 Status: Addict

Cortex: I have not heard Shenzou yet. is it cool? (im not
going to dl it yet...i want the cd. i couldn't do that to
Biosphere... hurt his heart)

i was going to get a front line assembly cd today
what are they like?
i wasn't sure...so i settled with depeche mode

Which Front Line Assembly cd was it? I'd recommend anything
they've released up to Hard Wired. Can't go wrong with
Depeche Mode though.

i think "Tomorrow World" is better from Selection Sixteen,
but all the songs on there kick ass really (except for the
bonus shit)

SP's degree of cool is more controversial than that of pop
tarts. Are they cool? Are they hot?
