I think this album is better than anything RDJ was doing in
1992 (when it came out). Defintiely on the same level as
Analogue Bubblebath 3.

talking of Black Dog....is the "Trainer" album worth
getting? How old are the tracks on it?

Hooray!! A topic I can relate to!

Well...

I looove Bytes... it could well be said that it's more ahead
of it's time and complex than Aphex was at the time, but
theres someting about AFX's melodies and atmosphere that
keeps me coming back.

But, good point, i'm not really disageeing with you. I
"lost" my (vinyl) copy of bytes somewhere along the line and
boy do I miss it. I only have a few tracks on CDs and stuff
now... whyiawta

Trainer is by Plaid, isn't it? I actually haven't heard it
yet... I think it's from 2000.

And I know what you mean about AFX's atmosphere... some of
the tracks on AB3 are pretty beautiful. The 8th track is his
most underrated tune, I think. SO damn awesome!

i love bytes. i'd have to go listen to that and some old
rdj to say which i think is better, but bytes is really
awesome.

not for 3's is their best. bytes is dated. by that I mean my
copy is covered with dried fruit dates that will not come
off even though I've tried getting my anteater to lick it.

I am Big Fan of Plaid but Black Dog I can just never get
into..sounds like a weaker goofier FSOL to me...same goes
for Trainer...heck the only reason I still have my copy of
Trainer is..Angry Dolphin...
