ambient artists here

hello,
i'd like to know who here makes ambient music, and where i
can hear it...
i'm mostly interested in "pure" ambient, or how should i say
it... at least no strong/aggressive beats - that's not what
describe as ambient music...

i start by giving my link;
hei

and yes, i welcome all comments.
(sorry if anything i said didn't make sense - i'm very
tired...)

I make ambient, experimental, electro, techno, trance
etc...

ambient ; )

heh, yeah i meant to ask you what's ambient in there... i
actually got one of your songs (contact) but haven't
listened to it yet properly.

i've wanted to get into ambient lately. at least making it.

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2002-11-28 10:53 [#00460050]

i think you have my most mellow tracks anyways, but you
could try mp3.com/killersockmonkey, and listen to memories
of jade... its a little atmospheric, but barely

*Contact is pretty heavy (techny)ambient
*Wireframe mountains (industrial influenced)
*minimilist is just pretty vague.
*plastic bag is also a little strange.

yup, i got something by you, and i remeber that it was
good... "how to cope with things" or something was one song.
need to dig it up now.

c738: sorry, i was talking about roygbivcore's song.

dj xammax: not a bad song; reminds something off saw2, which
isn't a bad thing i guess...

dariusgriffin: i'll try your songs some other day, i should
be going now

keep posting links here.
but bye for now.

I have a lot of ambient tracks. Most of the stuff I was
making when I first began creating music on my own was
ambient. But now I like to do all kinds of things, etc...

I'd be glad to upload a track or two later, when I'm at my
own house.

I'll take 'not a bad song' as a compliment. Thank you :) I
made that when I was 14.

Hm... What's *.ogg ?

Fat Kaimo's tracks are *.ogg files, and I have no idea how
to read them.

It's another compression format, I think. The next mp3, or
something.

yes, darius
ogg vorbis is an excellent substitute for mp3.

(taken from vorbis.com, goes well with what i was
thinking:)

Why are these files in .ogg format instead of .mp3?

There are lots of reasons that content providers switch to
.ogg format. Many files will compress to a smaller size with
higher quality using Ogg Vorbis instead of MP3. MP3 also
carries patent licensing restrictions which do not apply to
Ogg Vorbis. Ogg Vorbis is an artist-friendly,
technologically advanced audio codec. Releasing content in
Ogg Vorbis is the best way to show support for the work done
by the project.

and thankyou for downloading, hope you can figure out how to
play them...

...meant to include this too;
Supported players include Winamp, Sonique, FreeAmp,
Ultraplayer, eTantrum, and others.

ogg vorbis really is very hi-quality sound in smaller size
than mp3.

Haha yeah it's not really hiphop but I rememebr it and I
totally know it's you, it's from some CD you were doing
before. Like, a while ago.
Just slow ambient with some nice slow breaks. I classify
anythgin that's slow with breaks as hiphop, hehe.
