weird ' _ '
i think i drink something like one cola per fortnight...
cola's a bit too sweet and too sparkling for me, i wish it
was less sweet and had more taste (i read the american
version is)...

i prefer ginger ale (not that canada dry ersatz though), or
dr.pepper.

Heh, caffeine gets me ADHD, concentration problems,
heartrate disturbinds, migraine and nosebleeds when more
than 1 liter a day.

Now I'm down to caffeine free diet coke.

Not even mentioning

pretty big accomplishment for me

I replaced Cola with pure fresh water and I've never felt
better in all my life. Cola dehydrates you and water helps
your body perform the way it should.

I've heard that if you leave a tooth in a glass of coke
overnight that it completely dissolves

it doesn't dissolve. the calcium will become corroded and
'soften' the tooth, but it will not completely dissolve

offline Refund from Melbourne (Australia) on 2002-11-28 18:43 [#00460560]
Points: 7824 Status: Lurker

how long do you think it would take to completely dissolve?

offline two from Rataq (Qatar) on 2002-11-28 18:45 [#00460561]

i don't think it ever would, unless you dumped in some
chloric acid

yeah i find pepsi pretty addictive though i've got it down
to 1 litre a day (sound like a right druggy don't I ;) )

if you leave a tooth in pepsi for 2 weeks it would
completely dissolve due to the bacteria which collects due
to the sugar. and there IS a lot of sugar.

I get as much postmix softdrink/frozen coke as I want when
I'm on shift at work, we have these 'super mega' cups that
hold 1.25l, I was downing about 3 of those per shift a while
back. Lately though I've been having more water and also
cordial instead though..
Was getting really bad chest pains like Spikee Dragon
mentioned.. not as much now though :)

You have to get a GOOD green tea, like Maeda-en brand from
Japan. Not too expensive and tastes great. Just throw a
teaspoon of leaves in a cup with EXTREMELY hot water and let
it steep a minute. You'll know the water's hot enough if you
get a bit of green froth floating on top. The leaves sink to
the bottom though you might get a twig or two on top. Drink
it straight and it's like drinking a cornfield or a freshly
mowed summer lawn. Delightful

Cheap green tea tastes like ass, not that I'd know what that
tastes like. I had a green tea at Second Cup (the Canadian
Starbucks) and I swear it was 50% sawdust, 50% ragweed.

mm.. getting headaches when you don't drink the cola, you
say?

thats caffeine addiction. stringent coffee drinkers have
that same symptom.

watch out with drinking that much cola, for your teeth
alone. the acid in there does indeed soften your teeth.
also, when you drink cola, wait at least 30 minutes before
brushing your teeth as you'll damage them. same goes for
drinking orange juice.

give the monkey a jolt.

i'm glad i got off that stuff before vanilla coke came out.
me and my bud used to buy a case on friday and we'd have to
go to the store for more by saturday evening. ultimate
tragedy was during the winter when we wouldn't run out until
like 11:00 saturday and my friends dad wouldn't drive to the
store that late... we would walk through -30 degree windchil
for three miles through the snow (uphill both ways) and kill
ourselves carrying that damned case home, staying sane only
with the help of sweet nicotine. those were the days =D
