music over people?

how many people here would rather listen to their favourite
music on some headphones than talk with people at
school/work?

lately, i've not been a big fan of how most people are, and
i've been much more content to pretend to listen, while i'm
really into the music on my headphones. the fact that i
have nice big ones that drown out the outside noise helps
this a lot too :)

What about the other version - pretending to listen to music
while actually listening to what people are sayin. Usually -
"whats that twat in the headphones looking at"

I'm so used to having the music nice and loud, and so when
friends are over and stuff... It's hard to hear them talk
:-/

The number of people I'd prefer to talk to over listening to
music is about 10-15. Most people bore me if I encounter
them in more than small doses. That's why I really like my
close friends- people I don't get bored of talking to.

I never talk.
I hate ppl.
I'm a sociopat.
But happy after all...

well, look at it this way: who would you want to be with you
on a desert island, a friend or all-your cd's??

I could beat up my friend in order to make some drum noise
maybe. But I prefer the CD's. A fridge would come in handy
too.

at school I'd wear headphones as much as possible...and
avoided most people..

But as I've got older, the balance is somewhat evening
out...Just the journey to & from work nowadays....plus I'm a
lot more social than I used to be...

At school i just have my headphones wraped around my neck
and turn the vol to max while talking to everyone. The
golden mid-way

Wearing headphones while hugging a girl sitting in my lap
works for me.

I choose music over people AAAALLLLLLLL the time. There's
nobody in the world that I like enough to turn down an
evening home alone with some muzak.

I dont like talking about stupid, boring subjects with
people that I don't really like.
I'd rather listen to music instead

inside your head!

if I get a new cd, I'd prefer to listen to it then go out,
and usually when I talk to people, it's in an effort to find
more music

I'd rather talk to friends... but alot of people bore me and
get on my nerves, and I'd rather listen to music over
them... but my friends, I'd rather talk to them as they make
me happy!! :)

i never listen to music in school or at work, too much noise
which would spoil it... (that's what i don't like with
listening in cars or planes)

i talk more on the internet than in real life, so you can
consider most of the time i'm talking to people i'm
listening to music.

offline uzim on 2002-11-28 08:39 [#00459849]

as for my favorite between music and people... depends which
music and which people.

"i talk more on the internet than in real life, so you can
consider most of the time i'm talking to people i'm
listening to music."

Good point. Does anyone else reckon in the future the
majority of all human communication will be typed? It's
certainly more to the point and efficient, plus it's easier
to prove, "You said this!"...

Well it really depends of the people....

Anyway 90% of the time I would prefere to listen to music
rather than talking to people...

make him/her shut up.

the problem is usually the people who just can not be alone
or quiet... sometimes i wonder what do they do when they are
alone?

ok i really dont want to know ;)

Anyone who prefers music to socialising is one sad, lonely
fuck. I'd rather have a laugh with my mates or spend time
with my girlfriend than listen to 'Higgins ultra low track
glue funk hits' any day.
