Yamaha XG- Sounds like it's underwater with a subtle
flanger being applied for all bass. Clear on everything
else.

Sorry, I was saying that the yamaha XG soundcard is bloody
awful. We have them here in work. They sound worse than a
£15 soundblaster...

Aren't they the really good ones with a SB audigy style
front panel?

I have a "SB Live! 5.1", nothing spectacular by any means,
but I can really tell how bad the sound on this one is! Even
my parents PC's SB16 from 5 years ago whups this one and
this is on a Dell top business machine...

yeah, that's the one. Ive heard rumors about how awsome they
are, but i really would like to hear a real tester ;)

I want one that:
a) has PCI and front panel (apparently purely front panel
ones generate electrical noise...)
b) Is not more than £200
c) Has lots of connections- ideally 2 midi ins and one out
as well as the usual.
d)supports EAX & dolby 5.1
