so, we are FINALLY learning about more avant garde
harmonies in class.

Bach is all good, but just aint my thing.

My final project is going to be done with "mediant"
harmonies. It kind of gets rid of a key. So you arnt really
in any key at all. My peice has a shit load of sharps and
naturals and stuff. its great! its so much more
interesting!

If I am correct, its somewhat of a Debussy sound.

Me = Excited.

finally learning a harmony that I dig how it sounds. I dont
like jazz harmony, and traditional classical is too straight
forward.

"Music/media"....it's supposed to cover every aspect in
music. looking forward to the "musique concrete" lecture.

well, i havent had the time to check Csound out myself but
it seems quite cool.. i enjoy coding when it works. its
great fun, when im done with a pice of code that i am
satisfied with i get the same feeling one gets when a song
is done and it doesent sound too bad.. when it doesent work
it can be really damn depressing.. grr. anyways.. coding can
be quite scary at first glance but its all about starting
small and simple and really understanding what you are
doing. it might seem boring in the begining but the powers
of code will reveal itself in time.. i love the low level
controll you get with code.

I love coding... I did a computer science courses last
semester and we touched on visual basic... and it was great
fun!!! QBasic is also really fun... I used to program songs
like Funky Town and all that good stuff... and then submit
it to the teacher!! :)
