well, its not bad if the teacher is merciful and lets me
take it again. if she is not merciful, i can't do the MAJOR
in english and my graduation will be dec 2003 instead of jun
2003.

tell me, saul, what kind of final exams do you have down
there?

and how long is your high school?

we have four mandatory tests, finnish, swedish, other
language (usually english) and math / others (can choose
between math and 'others' such as geography or history)

High school? Umm... I had a thing called "VCE" which took 2
years, (the 11th and 12 grade)

year 11, Units 1+2
year 12, units 3+4 ... of a subject.

VCE = Victorian Certificate of Edutcation or something like
that.

You do 5 Subjects each year, English is a core subject so
you have to do that.

For my final exams I did, English, Psyhchology, Art,
Graphics and Econimics (groan).

I hope this makes sense :-s

i had this old, old, really old alarm clock that could wake
up a housefull of people with a firm and loud prrrrrr. it
was almost perfect, the sound was so horrible you just had
to wake up. the only problem with it was that its tick was
so loud i could nt sleep with it on.

i've never tried to wake up with music.

But yeah... that'd get me awake alright!!!

neetta -
primary = prep to 6th grade.
middle school = 7th to 9th grade.
senior school = 10th to 12th grade.

thats how I had it!

after that = University, etc. (next year for me!)

I used to have the same alarm clock as the guy (Hugh Grant)
has in 4 weddings and a funeral. Very load and very
irritating. I broke it when I punched it one morning when I
was in a bad mood.

How long was the exam? If you get in before anyone leaves
they'll usually let you start and just stay on after the end
of the exam. Hope it goes okay...

i'm the only one of the house who has to wake up. the lads
are always up all night and go to sleep when i wake up. its
annoying. i'm always on a bad mood when i wake up and it is
even worse if there is someone cheerfully up drinking tea
and reminding me to take the trash out

I know what you mean. I live with 3 students and it can be
depressing hauling myself out of bed and through the
rigmarole of "getting up" knowing they'll be waking up mid
morning. Still I did the same at uni so I can't criticise.
Besides, it's fun to be able to do things in the evening and
weekends when they're locked in their rooms studying...

neetta, that's awfulllll.....
sometimes (mostly once a week) i have to get up early too to
work an early shift. it's horrible, cause i mostly make
music at night and i'm not able to sleep before 2 am.
luckily for me, most of the time my day starts when i want
to...:)
