Well... in Limerick City a few hours from Dublin. Lovely oldskool beats! Limerick is known as "Stab City" and generally seen as pretty fuckin scummy. But 808 State, touring? Time to do a net-search. |

Not great, keyfumbler. The AMC do good work in getting bands here (I've seen the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and I'm going to see the Soledad Brothers in a few weeks) but electronically it's all pretty 'straight' DJs (Justin Robertson, Billy Nasty et al). I was in contact with VSnares for the European tour that he's doing but there just wouldn't be the demand for it in Limerick. He wasn't asking a lot of cash to play though... Let me know about any braindance type stuff in ennis though, kf, it's only down the road from me really. |

808 State RARELY travels outside of the UK anymore, so don't hold your breath. I think 808 State made a huge mistake by leaving ZTT. They're with Circus Records now, who are doing an even worse job, especially handling their new album "Outpost Transmissions". It's been delayed since May, leaving 808 State to promote the album on their own with little help from Circus. The album may now not even get released due to the poor handling. Sad really... :( |

I saw them supporting Madness sometime in the early nineties... I know it sounds unlikely but true. I think... My memory is a bit hazy about most of the nineties actually. But I did see them supporting someone, they were good! And very live, anyone who likes their dance music played live will be a happy chappy. |
