Hey Jarworski!

You were right :-)

Bought the cd today, and it's surprisingly good... i mean
really... i'm enjoying these new songs alot :-D (i could
have lived without bushleaguer and arc
though.... Arc is just crap (luckily also short), and maybe
i would like bushleaguer better if i fully understood the
lyrics... but still, it's musically very poor). But the
other 13 songs are pretty good! Some of the highlights
definitly take me back to the good ol' days of vitalogy/no
code :-)

I'm only listening for the 2nd time now... so i'll probably
decide on my favourites later when i've gotten to know it
better (Ghost is playing now... it has an awesome guitarsolo
and some great singing by Ed!)

I wonder why they feel they should always release their
albums in these expensive digipacks though... having a
little booklet in an a-typical size and all... if they're
just gonna fill it up with boring studio-photos! I remember
a time when their artwork was something truly special and
worthwhile... but i suppose it's the music that counts, and
they definitly seem to be on the right path again with this
one :-D

Now all i want is a european tour and for them to come over
here!

Matt Cameron is also becoming a more valueable bandmember i
think. "Evacuation" was atleast half-decent on the last
album.

And this time he wrote a couple of the best songs...
cropduster, you are & get right... excellent :-)

I also really like Green Disease... the angry Vedder-songs
are always great to hear.

Nice to see another pj-fan princo :-D

ooh even more fans :-D

So you're still a member of the tenclub eh? I was for 3
years... but then i quit because i felt very
dissapointed with their last 2 albums. (i also didn't really
enjoy any of the 3 christmas-singles i received anyway).

I'm not quite ready to join again... maybe i will if they
release another good one after this :-p

happy when i'm crying (well atleast the rem-song on
the b-side was decent)

Last Kiss / Soldier of Love

Strangest Tribe / Drifting

are the ones i have

And believe me i DO NOT like to bash Pearl Jam!!!
Infact it pains me to have to admit to myself i don't like
Yield and especially Binaural... but those are just mediocre
albums with only 1 or 2 good songs. They used to be my
favourite band of all time, and it made me so sad to see
them losing it :-/

And it's exciting to see them recapturing some of the old
glory this time :-D

no? Surely they also released a christmas-single last year?
I wasn't a member then.

I already wasted too much time with those two albums :-/
It's not like i didn't give them a fair chance! I tried real
hard to find some good songs on there! (brain of j, do the
evolution, push me pull me, insignificance, lightyears and
maybe also evacuation... those are the songs on them i can
enjoy). But overal the albums just strike me as boring...

I see no reason to play either one of them, when instead i
could also listen to one of the 4 first albums :-) (or riot
act, hurray!)

It's alright innit? There are some weak tracks on there for
sure, but it's a good listen. The last track bores me a
little but it has a great melody.

Yep :-)

Some weak tracks (strange enough it seems the quiet songs
are the least interesting... on older albums they were often
the highlights)... but yeah... i'm enjoying it :-)

but it's a good listen.

Exactly! And it was about time!

well maybe...

since the new album has put me in a pearljam-mood... i might
give them another go...

but i seriously doubt it'll change my mind though :-/

Jeez... whilst searching for some riot act-reviews i found
this:

"before the end of 2002, the band will put out a rarities
disc that will consist of B-sides, outtakes, soundtrack and
benefit album cuts, and songs originally released as fan
club Christmas singles, according to an Epic Records
spokesperson."

how great for all the people who spent years (and lots of
$$$) collecting all that rare stuff. Especially lame to put
the xmas-singles on there! Thought they were supposed to be
exclusive to clubmembers!
