Did I leave anything out? I know it's very ''classic game''
oriented... they're just, well, better!

Metroid Prime is on its way, and the music is great, judging
by the vids... and fuck, the reviews on it are pretty much
''game of the millenium'', ''must buy'', etc etc. I'm peeing
my pants.

My all-time favorite is the Double Dragon theme song... So
fucking righteous and awesome. If I could play that on the
guitar I'd never leave the house.

Hmm... Let's see... NES: Ninja Gaiden, SNES: Killer Instinct
and Mortal Kombat 3, Playstation: Ape Escape (I don't know
who wrote the songs but it sounded something like easy going
drum 'n bass versions of Orbital songs), PS2: Grand Theft
Outo 3... I haven't been wery active on the other consoles.
:/

thats all i can think of.

What did you think of Secret of Mana's soundtrack? That's
my personal favorite. There's also...

Xenogears
SaGa Frontier 2
Rage Racer
Ridge Racer Type 4
Final Fantasy X
Valkerie Profile
Final Fantasy Tactics
The Legend of Dragoon

Good list you compiled btw.

Oh and also, see if you can get your hands on Legend of
Dragoon - 'Tiberoa', I have it on SS as I type. It is my
favorite videogame composition to date

Secret of Mana had a good soundtrack... especially that log
bridge area at the start (I think?). It's called either
''lighthouse'' or ''bridge'' in my .spc file, a neat track.
FF Tactics is another great one.

And Mario RPG is another one I forgot! AWESOME soundtrack!

Awesome, listening to ''Streetlight Symphony'' right now.
(had to shut Tit's radio show off for a sec ;-) I'd like to
get my hands on a program that could make tracks using the
NES/Genesis/SNES sound chips.

best..
Probably because it was in America.

the background were pretty sexy back when I was 11. Loooong

All the Wipeout games have had outstanding soundtracks.. I
agree! Both the in-house studio tracks and the selection of
other techno artists. Even the first one I remember had
good music. I discovered Fluke through those games and that
is one of the major factors that got me into electronic
stuff in the first place..

Other great soundtrax:
Final Fantasy Tactics
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Lufia
Mystic Quest
Mario RPG
Bomberman 64
Mischief Makers
Zelda 2

I still have my CD of remixes of KI tracks.

Jupitah: Yes, marble madness has great music- first game to
have music that reacts to how you play :)

As I've moved my DC out of my parents' house I ahve nothing
to play CDs on in my bedroom. I've taken to putting my NES
games on and listening to the demos, much like arcade
background noise. I love the nes sounds...
