Mogwai, Tortoise. Godspeed is post rock, innit?

This ''post rock'' business confuses me. I'll look into some
more bands that I see listed in this topic, I need some
fresh tunes.

Godspeed, Mogwai, Sigur Ros. Tortoise are soulless crap, but
they are post-rock.

I had it described to me as non-rock music made with rock
instruments. or was it the other way around..? :)

i think post rock is a good genre name, it doesnt say
anything about it being" intelligent" or anything, it is
what it sounds like after rock is dead, although after rock
is dead, if it ever does, i doubt people will listen to what
we now call post-rock
