i walked into my local libarry only to find the book that i wanted was not in stock (accorrding to the computerr database), so i asked the woman and it was confirrmed. I was prretty pissed off (coz i found out i diden't get the job today) so i said... (something to this effect) Did you know that i have sailed the high seas of earrth and the high seas of moons of otherr planets in distant galaxies? I converrsed with animals bigger and smaller than myself when i was in the forrm of a cat and with crreatures unconceivable to you, crreatures of fantasy in a bid to gain knowledge to help me in my quest to find this book and alas i was dirrected to this libarry only to find my upmost grreatest fearr rrealised, that you don't have it in stock. Do you rrealise what this means? And the sight on the poorr womans face afterr i had finished. I have neverr seen someone look so shocked, and puzzled and everr so slightly scarred of me at the same time beforre. And she just said "i am sorrrry you can call back laterr or i can take yourr name and rreasrve it forr you" i was a bit gutted i dident get a betterr rreaction so i just left. Anyway I think you should trry something like this to a shop ownerr and tell us the rreaction you get... |
