There was some guy in this MB who had a really good and
informative BoC-fansite. A link? Someone?

aren't they just image over content - i can think of loads
of better artists global goon and astrobotnia to name two -
the music's not all that but the image and hidden extras are
great..

no 'astrid-gil-botn', i think their music is beautiful.
just listen to 'turquoise hexagon sun' or 'the beach at
redpoint', or 'roygbiv'.

any one of those tunes completely outshines the whole of
global goon etc's unnecessary careers.

no it's hippy crap with spooky undertones - those wobbly
synths make me feel sick and their melodies are weak.
the new album was just unlistenable .

I really like that website it's already in my fav.s very
interesting stuff and good links too.

As to BoC's music. I won't argue that part of their appeal
is their image and mystique, but their music certainly isn't
weak.

Ha ha, reverse the "ssss" of God with horns (ie, play it
forward again) and slow it 3 times... pretty spooky. It's
very well hidden. Something hidden within a hidden thing.
Nice...

On the Hi Scores CD case what is that bubbly stuff under
"skam"

offline martinhm from York (United Kingdom) on 2002-11-12 07:22 [#00438425]

It's braille.

And I think the "huh" was in response to the
"sss"-reversal-thing. I haven't tried it yet myself, but
I'll give it a go when I get home.

offline Anus_Presley on 2002-11-12 07:25 [#00438426]

"It's braille"
i thought so, does it say Hi Scores

and also guess whats just happened! i just picked a paperr
up, put it down, starrted typing and therre's ink all overr
and its on the Hi Scores case, its everry bloody wherre.

But as you can see by my follow up, I was, "Who're you "huh"
& "whoing"?"ing J-Hok :P

If you read that page, it explains about a sample actually
hidden within the hidden "God with hornsss" one...

interesting to know what it said though.

Does the geogaddi special edition case have braille on it? I
know my freeform - you should get out more 7" does...

offline martinhm from York (United Kingdom) on 2002-11-12 07:49 [#00438446]

geogaddi was released on warp. the braille is a skam thing.
I'm pretty sure it's own my bola - mauver and team doyobi
eps.

It was interesting reading in an interview how Mike
Paradinas missed out on releasing MHTRTC on Planet-Mu
because Warp stumped up more cash for the Scottish pair.

Ah, that makes sense. The freeform 7" I have is a skam
record. Shame the SMAK compilation doesn't have it.

Do you reckon they're just the titles/catalogue numbers in
braille?

I bought geogaddi as soon as I heard the song "Music is
math" (#2 on CD). That's one of the best songs I've ever
heard.

so which mp3s are genuine and which are fake?

i have 'circle' which is quite good and 'godever' which is
extremely good and deserves a remix or making it longer
