her music's clever and funny as hell. how can any idm fan not appreciate "get ur freak on" or "work it?" is there something inherently wrong with consciously entertaining according to you people?

I haven't heard any songs from his newest album, so ;-) to you too! Dre produced everything before that, right? Or am I still a dunce? :-)
Missy ain't even that fat, come to think of it... when you're a celeb, if you're slightly overweight, you're actually MORBIDLY OBESE.

missy JUST lost the weight.. well some anyway. she was pretty big before.
hmm, dre did about 4 songs on the debut, maybe 6-7 songs on the 2nd album, and about 3 songs on the d12 album. up until album #3 and the d12 album, producers included mark the 45 king, the bass brothers (jeff bass still co-produces with eminem), dj head (an unknown), and one or two others i'm forgetting. but the predominent producers have been the bass brothers (lp1), dr. dre (lp2), and eminem with assistance from jeff bass (d12, lp3, 8 mile).
*ahem*

I love that new song. I think its funny how people bag on her cause she is either too fat or too ugly. Its like nothing can ever be good enough for you people on here.... or people in general. With missy she is too fat and with christina aguilerra (i dont really like her stuff.. but ..) she is too skanky... and with venetian snares.... he is too hardcore and ripping off squarepusher. Its no wonder that michal jackson bleeched his skin and went all nust.... because people (fans..) can be totally heartless. But I dont think that its just that. People are bagging on women mc's lately... a lot. And no one likes an overwieght person in sociaty... but honestly... whats wrong with being a little over wieght? I think its sick how this body image thing and fasion shit.. gets its slimy hands into everything. Heaven forbid someone actually is sucessfull and a women that is a little overwieght..... and doesnt look like a supermodel. She is a GOOD entertainer... and is really talented ... with her past production projects. I am by no means overwieght... in fact I am barly a 100 pounds... but still... come on. This whole body image things happening in the world today can just suck my hairy nuts. I think there is a thin line between not liking something (its your opion...) and not liking somebody just because her image... or her wealth or whatever..... good music is good music. I think its totally awesome that she is overwieght and busting rhymes about being a super sex machine.... that takes balls and I think its great. I kind of went of on a tangent here... but I am tired of all this hating on music thats not "IDM" and hating on people in general on all of these "IDM" boards, hating on people who are sucessfull and being jelous because of it. I think there is a very thin line between just not liking something because of your musical taste.... and not liking something because of the person's image or "hating on someone".

naw i onyl chuckle coz i thought i heard her going on about how sexy she was.
'sall.
It's like if you aint sexy and you acknowledge it then you gain "real" points.
or something.
I think it's a bit unfair how some peple are hot and so they can do whatever, ie a star of a soapie (ie neighbours) can release hit singles.
For al I kow they may all have wicked musical talent, but I'm skeptical.
They (womenz) = hot = people wanna see 'em = they release songs and clips with them nude in the clips = happy od.
this is another one of those posts where I end up going "huh?" at the end of it and puzzlnig over what I was originally trying to say....

believe it or not, some people find missy elliott sexy. furthermore, sexy can be an attitude, not a look. missy is talented, successful, and very independent -- why can't she feel sexy?

umm Titsworth isnt that like saying "black is a state of mind"?
hehe but yeah I get ya man.
Mickey - I thought so but just felt liek clearing up that ...or whatever I was hopelessly trying to do.
I wanna start a movement (or continue a movement which I am unaware of?) of "self depreciation rap"
where the rappers say stuff like "I know I ain the best, but I'm tryin'/ just wanna start this movement up before I'm in the cold, dyin'"
or whatever.
I dunno. I just think it'd be cool.
and "real".

Yeah I've heard a few of Eminem's tracks with REALLY good lyrics.
I don't like his rappin style much though.....well soem tracks are the dopest, I liek his singles mostly, coz they're mostly the bouncier happier songs. A lot of his stuff is kinda too dark and depressnig for me.
Since I like to have a drink here and there I've been finding myself really gettign into shit liek Ill Communication.
That CD rocks so hard, for some reason I reckon the total ego stroking lyrics WORK (or maybe it's coz they were tongue in cheek)

yea beastie boys, there you go.. more self-deprecating humor there.
i think eminem's darkest song is probably "rock bottom" from the first album. been a long time since i listened though. whole album's full of self-deprecation, which, although not my favorite lyrical style, tends to be more interesting than his rants and jadedness on his recent albums.
