i have not been here for too long either, but in the past
week or so i have noticed that tons of new people have
registered. yikes! i hope the dilution phenomenom does not
happen; when too many people try to form a collective, it
just does not work out.

*fears for the mb community*

sorry for such a mundane topic!

relax...
when visiting xltronic, the only thing you can do right now,
is visit the board (and off course, hear some of the music
from the start page etc.). So that leaves a lot of focus on
the board. And I guess Phobia has promoted the site a lot
for the premiere.
;)

don't fear... it's happened before. there'll always be a
core of ppl that stick around where others leave again after
a while :)

I just registered yesterday. I have been viewing the board
for awhile and it looked like a bunch of cool people. I
hope I have contributed to the dilution problem.

Eh, it's just the natural progression of messageboards,
evolution... there will always be the same old faces, some
will disappear over time, new people will take their place,
etc.

*gets emotional *sniff

I was being sarcastic because of titsworth's comment.

Seems strange that a guy who is constantly trying to show
how open-minded he is would say such a stupid thing like
"kill all hippies". I don't recall hippies ever being
violent terrorists or anything of that nature

I reckon whilst they shouldn't implement a "not posting for
6 months and you're out" rule, they really should consider
removing accounts of 0/1 posts after a few months...

By they, I mean tune & sine et all

What I dislike, is people fronting like they are the old
skool gang that knows it all, and the newcomers just being
wannabees.

You didnt invent the wheel, but you use vehicles that have
wheels, cars for example.
Does that make you a car-wannabee??

*grin*

dont take me too serious on this one.

like Anus_Presley's posts... it's unreadable 50% of the time

you cannot definitely rely on anything - even not on
yourself :)

The actual point...

The community dying in a tsunami of members posting their
ass of?
I cant really see what IS your point.
Ive been up here actively for about a week, and I think I
regged 2 weeks ago, so I feel pointed at by neetta.
But why dont you just EXPLAIN your point then neetta?
I'd be happy to listen : ).

it was not about pointing out anyone. it does not matter,
who you are. if i myself had regged here yesterday i would
still be saying this.

i have just noticed that in many good internet communities,
even though there are assholes and nice people, a large
amount of active members just ... dilutes it all.

i have seen MB Communities go frrom grreat to shit, and its
sad when you make frriends but you have to give people time
to prrove themselves (like i'm trrying to do) beforre you
wrrite them off as an asshole newbie.
