this video is awesome,.. the part where he nearly drowns
himself has me in tears evertime I see it,.. it's just so
funny

I've got just one dilemma though,.. I can't find studio
version of most of the songs played throughout the video,..
like the song played over the radio "in the middle of the
city,. it is difficult to COOONNNCCEEEENNTTTRRRAAAATTEEE!!"

also,.. in a rehersal studio part,. they play an acoustic
version of life in a glasshouse,.. omfg!!!

i you don't have this video already,. beg borrow or steal
for it,.. it is truly awe inspiring,..

ummmmm there's no remix of brian eno. that's a remix of
"climbing up the walls" by zero 7.

Some of the songs that are in Meeting People is Easy:

Meeting In The Aisle: Played during the scene in New
York City with Thom going to a club in a taxi. Available on
the Airbag: How am I driving? EP

Climbing Up the Walls (Zero 7 Remix): Played while
Thom is being interviewed in Philadephia, shot of the
Lincoln Tunnel in the bus. Available on one of the OK
Computer EPs.

Palo Alto: Played during the Tokyo montage, shots of
the people in the street, skyscrapers, etc. Available on
Airbag: How am I driving? EP

Man of War: Song being recorded in London ("It allll
comes crawlinnggggg baaaaaaaack!"). Unreleased.

the song about a "city of the future" is called Palo Alto.
its easy to find on kazaa or SS.
as for Brian Eno, theres only one piece of music in this
movie that i'm clueless about. its a nice beat laden string
piece, definitely not radiohead. occurs with a tokyo
backdrop and segues into a scene at an airport. i doubt its
brian eno.

xlr: don't forget the unreleased "follow me around" (played
in full at a soundcheck), "nude" live in nyc, and early
versions of "how to disappear" and "life in a glass house"

Zaphod, do you mean the song that's being played as their
driving to the japan airport at night, over the bridge and
the expressway and everything? Cause i've been wondering
what that is.

And what about the cheesy-but-cool synth that plays in the
background during Thom's interview in Australia?

thats exactly it. what the hell is that? its pretty cool
actually. and yeah, i'd like to know what the aussie
interview music is too.

don't discount the possibility of it being original music by
radiohead.

nah, it isn't. i've searched for a very long time to find
out what that is. it would be on a fansite or something, and
it isn't their style at all.

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2002-11-06 18:24 [#00430904]

actually...it may be called "I'm Looped". written by Jack
Allen. atleast thats what is on the credits and doesn't seem
to fit anywhere else in the movie.

I REALLY want to know what these tracks are. It's been
driving me crazy.

Actually I thought of one more. When they return to New
York and you see this sped-up footage of nighttime driving
on a freeway in black & white, there's this slow drum beat,
guitar/organ going on.

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2002-11-06 18:27 [#00430906]

THAT is a radiohead song. its an instrumental and may be one
of the new songs, or atleast the basis for a song called
"sit down stand up".
