sometimes you just forget how great and diverse the music of aphex twin really is. i havn't listened to a single aphex trax for months. i don't know why. mayby i needed to step back from it all and look for something else. now i realize that the music by aphex twin is something that will always be with me. and the track "flim" is the fucking greatest piece of art ever made. thank you.

i have listened to saw 1 regularly since i got the mp3s back in 1998 or so.
now i had forgotten it for a little while and whoa! i gets the vinyl! now its saw 1 all over again. actually, the same happened with i care because you do and breakbeat eras ultra-obscene. god bless vinyl and curse mp3. you can only get bored of an mp3.

i think that happens when your favorite becomes your standard... you don't listen to it as often as before.
i feel this way about aphex twin, and nine inch nails too. ' _ '
aphex twin is really diverse, that's undeniable - he changes his style almost with each album (and sometimes changes his style many times in a single album!)... he does great in every style he tried imo.
but... i don't know why, sometimes i feel like aphex is shallow, hollow, in someway.

I'm done my real heavy period of listening to Aphex, but I always go back to him every once in a while. I took a break from Autechre for a couple months, but can't stop listening now... and I always find that after a break, I start appreciating tracks that I was never into before. I never liked Rpeg, but now it sounds great. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, yabbadabbadoo.

Rpeg was always one of my favorite tracks. I love how the segue plays back and forth before it kicks in and stays. And the squirty percussion like someone squeezing spit between his gums and cheek.
