Why aren't film soundtracks available on vinyl? Is it
because they're genrally "popular music"?

I want the Fight Club soundtrack (import edition) on vinyl.
And it does not exist :(

Also, why don't record companies do limited re-issuings of
say 1000 copies if there is enough demand? They could charge
150% to make up for the fact they'd be not making so much on
a small run.

I see what you mean in the other thread. It was in HMV mate.
About £20. Good quality too.

Arse! I asked in HMV around last Xmas and they said £18 for
a CD import and they'd have to order it. I'll have to try
again and get it on vinyl import. Do you know if the import
version is available on vinyl, because I can't find anywhere
that mentions it...

C738: We don't all have/know people with vinyl cutters and
acetates are crap for scratching. Plus you'd need a CD copy
anyway to get good quality... I wouldn't much fancy £15 for
a vinyl of a 128kbps mp3 recorded version...

It was HMV in Edinburgh. My guess would be, Yes, that the
American version is on vinyl. My friend found it for me
knowing my love for that tune. She's great. Plus she adores
the film so wanted me to mix with it. I'd love a vinyl
cutter but I don't have that amount of siposable cash. I
don't have any really. I just go without other things to
fund my vinyl habit.

"I just go without other things to

It always annoys me when friends say, come on come out, you
must be able to afford it, look at all the music you
buy/your PC. Don't they understand it's precisely becaus eof
that that I don't have much money? >:s

Damn straight. That's why it's taking me so long to build me
a new computer. I put aside so little money for it that I
can't afford to but any of it yet. Although it's working in
my favour as not only am I getting a cracking vinyl
collection but I know that when I do get it Doom ]I[ will
run so nicely that I'll just ejaculate. Also my new phone
cost me a bit.
