a requiem is a mass for the dead

why then is the film called what it is...?

Yeah, I actually managed to resist the temptation to buy 4
films as it equates to 2.5% of the way to decks. Also, I got
£40 back in my account due to some chimps not delivering
something I ordered, which I decided I could live without.
:)

understand...

all the main characters have hopes and dreams that they
won't develop or try to achieve, but seek a way out through
drugs and other addictions - the film is like a mass for all
the dead dreams and hopes.

It's not quite as good IMO, still very good though.

Requiem is good but it has some parts that are downright
silly. Also it helps if you care about the characters. I
personally didn't give two shits about them, they dug their
own hole so I found it hard to pity or even empathize with
them.

the film is constructed in a way that you CAN'T care about
them..
although I did care for the mother..

I think Marion is the most irritating - she has all the
chances and never does anything with them.

The mother is the easiest to sympathize with. So sad.

There are two versions of the dvd. There is a slightly
edited "R" version, which does not have all the extra
features like the commentary. There is also the unrated
director's cut version, which does include all the features.
I got the latter.

It's $10 USD here at best buy.
