Unfortunetely, no. :(

And limewire sucks pretty bad too. I really wish soulseek
or kazaa made a mac version.

there's iswipe, which is ok. search for it on google, i
think it's at hillmanminx.com, if not. search.

you could also try rapster, which is an openNap client. some
of us on the board are on inverted whale's server, email him
at dontspamonme@excite.com for more info on that.

hope this has been helpful

It would be pretty helpful if a MacOS X user could contact
me. I'd like to see if one of the opennap programs for that
OS will work with our server.

I can't get any connections on my college network whenever I
run it.

iswipe

(i wish they would make a search for previous topics about
this... how many times do we have to mention iswipe... -_-)

hotline and carracho!!!!!!!!!

these apps have been around forever. And no one uses them
(which rocks). Its not that hard to get an account either,
you just upload something, and talk to the server admin
about it.

Hotline is just for Mac OS 9.x or lower

and Carracho can work on both 9.x and 10 operating
systems...

SOULSEEK IS TEH ONLY THING TO USE.

you're welcome xlr.

soulseek sorta exists on mac osX, but i don't know how to
make it work... you need a thing called "python" (said to be
included with os 10.2).

whaaaaa?

where did you hear that from uzim?

if soulseek is open source I would think that it would be
ported allready to OS X......

Sorry doki, I've decided not to take any more MacOS < X
people, since there isn't a client that allows uploading on
those machines.

Inverted Whale, are you talking about an ftp server?

cause if you are, there is an application called fetch that
can upload to practically any server from a mac.

No, this is an opennap file sharing server.

doki, about the iSwipe search thing. That happens to me too.
Just keep trying. It might help to wait a few minutes.

xlr - thanx, i?ll try again!!

some more questions :):

what?s that fuck when i download, and all of a sudden the
connection is broke, even though the host is on, and when i
try again it works again for a minute and than same shit
...

AND

can i with modem download from every connection?? (cable,
T1/T3, etc ...)

offline xlr from Boston (United States) on 2002-11-05 15:03 [#00429244]
Points: 4904 Status: Regular

I'm not sure about the first question, but yes, you can
download from T1/T3 etc sources, but the speed will be
limited by your own connection. It's best to find the
fastest connections even if you only have a modem, simply
because they are more reliable.
