i just went to a protest in boston, opposing the war on
iraq

it was great, there must have been tens of thousands of
people

we marched all over boston, and had all these streets shut
down.

tim robbins spoke, as did a bunch of people, such as
preists, rabbi's, scholars and some iraqis.

it was great

Good!

A friend of a friend has painted the american flag in his
toilet bowl , now he can take a crap at it everyday.
I find that hillarious =)

I don't think a few obese Americans and friends walking
around Boston is going to stop Bush's terrorism against
Iraq...but I suppose the exercise would have done you all
good, except for the polution you will have breathed thanks
to the US's excellent environmental policies.

Power to the people and all that.

its pretty much impossible to affect the government these
days. actually, it is impossible. i smell world war 3, im
sure plenty of countries will band together with iraq, the
UN doesn't support America's decision, and blah and blah.

I fancy fighting in a war, it is something that has been
denied to my generation so far...and I want to die.

ecnadniarb: lets not be sterotypical. for the record, almost
everyone i saw at the rally was not fat. also, i do think it
will be good. if you put more attention on the subjects,
more people will learn about it. and when these people learn
about it, these are the people that vote for thier leaders.
its not an overnight thing, but if we persist, something
will come of it.

neto: no, why?

'resident' Bush performed a coup-d'etat--he wasn't elected.

Well given that according to US government statistics 79% of
Americans are overweight with 32% of the population being
classified as obese I think it is a pretty accurate
discription.

As for people "that vote for thier leaders", I find it
rather sweet that you beleive you actually live in a
democracy, when your current president was only elected
thanks to creative counting in his brothers state.

There was a demonstration in London recently with 400,000 so
you are in good company.

There were protests around Australia but I didn't hear about
them until they had already happened so I couldn't join
them.

no, bush was not fairly elected, but the more people that
understand this, the more people that decide to take action,
then things will begin to change. like i said, its a long
process.

and i know americans are statisticaly fat, but not all of
them. youre just being an asshole.
