So i finally got those CD-R copies of both his albums. They
are very nice indeed! (i think it was tolstoyed on this
board who was very much into his music).

Currently i'm listening to Hei, but i think i slighty prefer
Melke. It all sounds very organic and lo-fi. Unlike most
other electronic music i've heard. And i like it alot.

However i was wondering if anyone here who speaks norwegian
could shed some light on the song titles?! I'm especially
curious about the last one, since it's a couple of sentences
long! Just wondering what it could mean :-)

1. politiska dikten återvänder
2. forskjellige gode ting
3. den fula skogen bakom köket
4. torture happiness
5. jag finns inte mer
6. juli
7. techningar och folk
8. det vigsenkallelige veddet som er gjort og makten til å
tilgi til å tilgi
9. giving and taking book
10. det skulle vara fint att se dig, tänkte jag
11. hänger långsammt i luften
12. -
13. hip hop is a way of life
14. han brydde sig inte om att stiga upp, hela dagen lät
han nya bilder och funderingar komma och gå som de ville,
sov lite ibland och vaknade igen och visste inte alls vem
han var. det var en fridfull och mycket spännande dag

Obviously i already understand the english ones...

Some of it seems to be plain good ol' Swedish.

14. He didn't bother to get up, he let new images and
thought come and go all day long, slept a little sometimes
and woke up again and didn't know who he was. It was a
peaceful and very exciting day

1. the political poem returns
3. the ugly forest behind the kitchen
5. I don't exist anymore
7. sketches and people
10. it would be nice to see you, I thought
11. Hanging slowly in the air
13 Hip hop är ett levnadssätt :)

Good night.

i gave up trying to figure out how those scandinavian
languages all work :-p Some people tell me they are almost
similar, and everyone from denmark, norway, sweden and
finland can understand each other... but other people have
told me the languages are very different and can't be
compared at all.

Anyway THANKS! Those translations are great, i really like
them... some of those titles are very typical for Kim.
Always more interested in the small details than the big
picture it seems. (in his "book without function" he wrote:
In Zen they say: if something is boring after two minutes,
try it for four. If still boring, try it for eight. Sixteen.
Thirty-two. And so on. Eventually one discovers that it is
not boring at all but very interesting.)

I feel some of the short songs on Hei are a bit dull
tolstoyed. Makes the album feel a little "scattered", though
some of the individual tracks are really beautiful! Melke
works better as an album (which is odd, considering it's
just a collection of rare tracks). But maybe it still needs
to grow on me. I used to feel the same way about MHTRTC and
druqks :-)

Swedes, Danes and Norwegians usually understand each other
apart from some extreme dialects. Finnish is nothing like
these other languages, not even remote. In Finland you get
along with Swedish out on the southern coast. Swedish is
their 2nd official language. Most Finns understand a few
words of Swedish.
