I had a good week, Monday=Tool, parties at a friends house
all week and saturday I might see the band Mudvayne, heard
they're pretty wild live. Still I'm happy it's friday and
time to get highday.

The problem with Fridays is that Monday morning comes too
quickly!!!

:(

I think it's safe to say free time generally moves all to
quickly.

just finished my midterms today

i had harmony 4, and counter point back to back today (total
of 3 hours) it was pretty tiring.

for harmony 4, we had to analyze a chord progression, that
used modal interchange, and modulations etc etc etc. then we
had to write out the chord scales (the scales to use on each
chord while improvising) but i think i did fine.
this was 1 hour

then was counterpoint, and we had to do 5 different peices
of counterpoint from a cantus firmus (meaning we are given
either a bassline, or melody, then we have to write the
chord progression we want, and provide a counter melody or
bassline) it took me about 1 and a half hours to do. but
again, i think i did fine. but i did realise one mistake i
made after i turned it in... but oh well. dont think it will
hurt too much.

actually, i got one more midterm next week... midi systems.
detailed questions about MIDI specs. fuuuun

it was put off a week, cause we were working on
arrangements. I rearranged a john cage peice into an ambient
soundscape, will all sorts of cool drums, just sparcly
hitting, adding to the ambience.

just out of curiosity, what was the mistake you realized
after turning it in?

on one example, we had to do prepared suspensions, and the
best ones to use are 4-3, and 7-6 suspensions

i used 9-8's.

i dont know how much he'll take off for it though... cause
everything else on that example was fine...
we shall see
