I was wondering if anyone knew an easy way to download
shockwave and/or flash files from a website. The "Save"
feature in the right-click menu is grayed out. For example,
I wanted to save the boards of canada 3D thingy on
boardsofcanada.com for later viewing, but am unable to.

It's probably in your cache. Look for all the files in your
cache with a .swf extension.

or in laymans terms..
go to the Temporary Internet Folder in Windows..(if you are
using Windows and IE that is)..and browse through to find
the .swf files copy and paste into another folder.....best
way for that is to keep that folder updated..and delete the
temporary files after every session other wise you may be
looking for ..days...

In the browser
go to Tools/Internet Option
Under the General Tab (the first tab) the second section
should be Temporary Internet Files..click on the Settings
Button...In the Settings Window there should be a View
Files..button..this opens up the Temporary Internet
Folder..try and remeber the path of this folder.....Find
your files in the Folder and Cut and Paste them somewhere
else..

ofcoarse this is going by Windows 98..

Yes, it's very similar to what you described. It's in Hard
Disk / Library / Caches / Internet Explorer. However, there
is only one file in the cache folder, and it's
"iecache.waf". what the hell kind of file type is this?
Any mac users wanna help a brother out?

when using Macromedia Flash to create files, there is an
option to disable the "save" feature, that is why you can't
right-click to save it..
