anyone like this stuff? i really like hossam ramzy's music,
i discovered it through timbaland sampling it to make hits
such as big pimpin' and raise up.

enta omri is by umm kalthum who is a very famous and
legendary singer in egypt, she's dead though..

and this music is not egyptian belly dancing music as much
as just egyptian music that you can belly dance to

Tits, Can you recommend me a CD that covers Egyptian
bellydancing music please? Maybe that compilation?

you're right, it's not written with that purpose in mind. as
for enta omri, the writing credit goes to hossam ramzy so
kalthum must have covered it. the recording i have is by
hossam ramzy & his egytpian orchestra and it sounds pretty
old (it's also intrumental).

looking through AMG, i see you're right: the writing credit
indeed goes to Om Kolthoum! well, i haven't heard the
original, but i really love hossam ramzy's version.

i'd rather watch belly danceing than hearing it
and you have to be in the mood for it..lots of drinks too
it is very fascinating
especialy if you watch the original middle easetern one
...not that fake western copy

We have a colonialist history with this part of the world.
By the way the Egyptian girls and the magrehbian girls
(magrehb = morocco + algeria + tunisia) are the most
beautiful thinks in the world (IMO). With a lot of character
too ; bewre the fire in their eyes , keep focused on the
belly.
