wtf is up with the trailer for The Two Towers using the
soundtrack from Requim for a Dream?

The Fellowship score won tons of awards, why not play more
in the trailer?

Is the Requim song only for the trailer to pump people up,
or will it be in the movie too? Honestly, the original
score for Fellowhip blew me away, dunno why they would go
far from more of the same of that music.

It's standard practice with trailers...generally I think
because the score is unfinished....

Sometime seems like every trailer uses the same
soundtrack....

they commissioned the requiem theme just for the trailer..
you'll notice it now boasts a much larger orchestra as well
as a choir. that's because it's a totally new recording.

in this case they did a one-off just for this trailer. i
imagine their own music is long done, they just wanted to go
with some amazing music that too few have heard. for those
of us who already know clint mansell's RFAD score, it brings
some "interesting" mental images up when we see the trailer.

oh, and that makes sense about the trailer, i was kinda
confused, but since you mentioned it, I do believe I have
seen the same thing. Like "More Human than Human" by White
Zombie, being used in 1000000 trailers.

Moby's "Everloving" was used in the Requiem theatrical
trailer, too.
