Favorite Song Ever

I've been having brainstorms lately, coming up with lots of
orginal topics... yeah...

Your favorite single track of music, EVER... what is it?
Explain why, or DON'T explain. But that's rather boring and
pointless.

Hey Jude- The Beatles- I've decided it's the best thing
ever, it encapsulates all that is good about music. Being
the depressed bastard that I am, the fact that this song can
make me inhumanly happy is just sick. It earns its 7-plus
mintues, and deserves 7 more. Simple but effective... maybe
if the cops play this song really loud on a loudspeaker, the
sniper will just give up and happily stride into custody.
Nobody can ever hope to match this song, you all SUCK SHIT
compared to this song. All the tracks I've heard here SUCK
SHIT compared to this song. Radiohead SUCKS SHIT compared to
this song. And I get overly passionate when I listen to it,
ignore me, please.

Just name one song. Been done before, but so many newer
people that maybe haven't listed their favorite song ever.

GAH! I'm just going to take that as a ''Britney Spears- I'm
a Slave for You.'' Poor choice, Travith.

Anyone else?

Either:

'Spaceship Landing' by Kyuss - 11 minutes of pure stoner
genius - three parts, awesome solos, great vocals and the
best riff of all time

or

'I Want It All' by Wilt - just a fucking great rock song

*please note that this opinion is likely to change at any
given time and is not to be considered 'final'*

I'm going to download each and every song that's listed
here... that's one of my hidden motives behind this topic,
I'm bored of music for today and I want to find some new
shit.

Keep them coming.

I didn't. I really like Ash and that's my favourite song. Do
I redeem myself with the fact that my favourite film is Evil
Dead II although if I'm in a really bad mood it's Evil Dead.

prolly:

'Bullet' by Fluke

The perfection of the band's sound and a just plain good
piece of music in general. Energetic, lovely, emotional,
heartfelt, and just dang cool. Gets me every time.

Runners up:
'Laughing Quarter' by Autechre, 'nlogax' by Boards of
Canada, 'Washing Machine' by Sonic Youth ... yellow calx??

Current 93 - Tamlin
--- For me, it reveals that True Love conquers all. Even
death itself.

Queen - You Take My Breath Away
--- I don't think it really needs an explanation - this song
is the embodiment of longing.

I let my friend listen to go plastic and after about 3min
she told me to stop it. She couldn't take any more hehe. It
not likely to make sense the first time you'll listen to it.
It has to grow on you before you can see how fucking mental

i don't think you can compare a techno song to a rock song,
I think you can only get best song of a category.

in "electronic" I will be dull and say Girl/Boy Song. @

I'm gonna rack my brain on this....and I can't afford to do
that just yet. :]

Although, I do have a favorite videogame track:

The Legend of Dragoon - Tiberoa

It's by a man named Dennis Martin. It's a really nice short
and lush track that seems to find itself being looped all
the time.
