i dig the menu music....kinda relaxing...aphexish
almost....

especially the music when fighting that crazed Melbu
Frahma.....whatever his name is in the weird shifting
worlds...........

Oh heck yeah, the menu music rocks!!!

I remember when I was playing the demo before the game was
released and I'd just sit there and read something while
listening to it.

It'd be nice if Dennis would compose some other music.

Yes, the last boss battle music was awesome as well.

I didn't give an explanation for my selections,.. so I will
now

Underwold : Banstyle/Sappy's Curry
this song is 15 minutes long and awesome the whole way
through,.. the song changes motif 3 times,. eventually
building up to an orgasmic finish,.. the song fades out at
the end, prolly because to end the song would be
blasphemy,.. I cannot stress just how good this song is,..

Massive Attack : Group Four
the lyrics in this song really hit a chord with me,.. every
time the Fem's voice cuts in for the first time,.. my
attention is immediately drawn to this awe inspiring
track,..

Fluke : Freak
this song manages to sound epic without being a long
song,... and,.. welll,....... it's just a good song

I think I know what you're talking about. There was one
song in that game that really stood out, very majestic..
I'm going to have to download it and find out if it's the
one I'm thinking of. Haven't played the game in years.

Deamon Cleaner or Spaceship Landing - Kyuss....

Its a very simple song but done so well and the emotion
litterally hits you in the face ...

this band produced the greatest sounds known to earth.. it
cant be pure ambience in some parts then heavy emotion
filled parts that leave you screaming out the lyrics... its
far too hard to choose a track but i know its from Kyuss.

This is so difficult..

I'd have to say maybe.. umm...

Robyn Hitchcock - The Devil's Coachmen

or

Robyn Hitchcock - Veins of the Queen

These songs have been consistently listened to by me for
possibly the longest amount of time.

Devils Coachmen~ I'm not too good at being descriptive,
something about the 3/3 time.. the strings that come in..
it's like someones walking into the room.. really.. it gives
me the feeling that someone just walked into the room! ahh
this song is so beautiful.. the lyrics, everything.

Veins of the Queen~ what a nice little simple narritive of a
song here. so innocent, i love innocent lyrics that pose
something grand beneath the surface... then that horn
drops... ooooh baby! it melts my spine.

no one hear listens to RH, so i guess no one will really
relate to this. ophecks: you might be into this stuff...

anyways, thats it.

Mr Self Destruct by Trent Reznor

that song, in my opinion, is THE definition of indsutrial!

i'll never forget the first time i heard that - walking back
fome from my training centre in bimingham.......it just blew
me away, i actually stood still in the midle of a busy
footpath!

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker, how all pop should sound.

DJ Shadow - What Does Your Soul Look Like Part One (Blue Sky
Revisit)... a song for when i'm with my girl...she loves it
too.

Final Fantasy Main Theme Orchestrated...my favourite game
and some quality music.

Radiohead...all of Kid A...a fucking masterpiece..STILL
haven't got OK Computer.

Autechre - Second Peng...so very kickass

The Avalanches.. The album Since I Left You, I like to think
of it as one big song. Classy.

Boards of Canada - Dawn Chorus

UNKLE - Rabbit In Your Headlights, a collab of two of my
favourite artists...absolutely perfect.

Groove Armada - At the River

Something along those lines.

radiohead - street spirit

sad or whatever and being sad is the greatest thing

nine inch nails: ruiner

this song alone is a masterpiece.
it is one of these tracks i'd quality as "epic", but usually
they are longer and not as powerful as ruiner... (third eye
by tool is great too, but doesn't beat ruiner imo)

There's a very quiet old Puritan hymn from the 1500's called
"I shall be satisfied", with a haunting harmony line, but
I've never seen it anywhere but the old record I found it
on. Equally beautiful is Franz Schubert's "Impromptu In G
Flat", D.899 No.3. (most commonly known from the 'Portrait
of a Lady' soundrack) It feels very warm and soft - a good
song for memories.

this question is hella-tough :-o

But I'm gonna say: "what i always wanted" by Swell. I
actually love many songs by Swell, they have an amazing
ability to write soft, dreamy, semi-acoustic guitar-songs
there are often very moving.

But "what i always wanted" is even above their usual
standard. I have no idea what it's about... i'm not even
sure what genre of music it really is... but yet it *always*
brings tears to my eyes when i hear this.

The first 2 minutes are basically an extended intro (already
shockingly beautiful)... but halfway through the song it
suddenly changes and they start playing their amazing melody
while the singer sings something like: "i've always been in
the lake, but now i sit at shore"... can't really make out
the rest of the words... and i'm scared to look it up ;-)
Afraid that knowing the lyrics might ruin my perception of
the song.

Music just doesn't get any better than this! :-D
(altough i must admit i don't really have any beatles-albums
yet ;-))
