How was the music video made? I must have ANY and ALL info
about this video. Production time, software used, equations
devised, etc...

i think it said something in the booklet. the video was
awesome. too bad autechre's actual music has been downhill
the last 2 releases though. the video wasn't even made by
them.

Amount of juice exuded in cubic millimeters by the
producer's secretary whilst contemplating her David Boreanaz
wallpaper... brand of hard drive used in the production
machines... what beers are on tap at the curry house nearest
the studio... circumference and volumetric capacity of all
ashtrays in a twelve block radius of Sean Booth's dentist's
office...

he might want to know the ages of all who were involved,
their addressess, telephone numbers, postal codes, Social
insurance numbers, the cars they drive and the insurance on
them, how many kids they have if any, their ages and where
they go to school, birthdays of all who were involved and
the kinds of shoes they have and the exact rubber used.

that info is very important too Fleet ;)

sound to the picture so accurately.

you can pick out the little blips in any song like that in
programs like Recycle

i've been "mucking" about myself lately with stuff like this
doing videos for music, it's just too much fun

Beat sync is pretty damn cool, and the gantz graf video is
the perfect example.

Is that the only info I can get on it??? I want to know why
the director picked those particular shapes or are they
randomly generated through a series of equations that
analyze the music....

come on you cunts!

Is it just me, or do the shapes in gantz graf remind anyone
else of the polyginal graphics from Starfox for SNES?

oh yeah those FX chip graphics.. interesting observation.
Man that game kicked in its day. heck it still kicks in my
opinion.

btw Amon, are you a Fluke and/or Wipeout XL fan? just a
guess judging from your avatar.

It really reminds me of that Mike Young Exploding-3d-Shard
design style that was really popular...but moving, of
course...

He did most of the shape animation/camera angles by hand...I
doubt there was much randomness involved, seems too
controlled for that....

but I do think he ran the audio data thru something that
would turn it into a texture he could map on those shapes
(that stripey texture that gets used a lot..)...
