i had to make a thread about this guy
i got his album "melke" about a week ago and i can't stop
listening to it. It's one of the best albums i've ever
heard, and if you like stuff like fourtet or manitoba you
should check it out. His music is pretty much the same
except he's using much better beats and drum programing.
Bass on couple of tracks is really wonderful and melodies
are cool too, so i guess its an album for all tastes. In a
certain way he also reminds me of rdj. Im really glad i
found this guys music.

i have 'doktor watson trikset' on a vinyl 7" single. It's a
really nice song and i would love to hear the album... but
it's unfindable over here.

Kim has also illustrated many (norwegian) children's books!
He's quite an amazing artist, his illustrations are
awesome.

It's very nice to see that his music is now being
appreciated by people who don't know his drawings :-) That
must mean it's decent music... i'll have to see if a
recordstore can maybe order his albums

no problem finding hiorthoy on soulseek. i donwloaded
'melke' but i'm sorry to say i'm not very impressed. sounds
a bit 'cheap' to me... not very well produced.

well i don't have a creditcard! Which is getting more
annoying everyday... i really have to start looking at the
option of just getting a creditcard :-p I'm missing out on
way too much.

creditcard is a fine thingy yes, you have to be careful
though, not to spend to much on it :)
last month i spent about 700 euros just for buying music :),
but what can i do-its just to much great music out there
:))
watch out you dont get obssesed with it once you get it -
just a friendly advice hehe

700 eur on music!? impressive indeed... :)

jesus christ :-p
That is alot of money! But yeah, i can definitly see the
risk in owning a creditcard... since you don't actually get
to "see" (or hold it in your hands) the money... it becomes
really easy to spend ;-) Thanks for advice.

But still... 700 euros on music in one month?! That's
like... well... 35 albums! At least! When are you gonna have
the time to listen to all that great music? :-D

hey Tolstoyed, 700 eruros is a lot to spend on a credit
card. I don't own a credit card but I use the card of my
dad.

The most I used that credit card was like 80 or 90 dollars
within a month (and that was much!)... usually I spend just
30 or 35 dollars monthly from it.

I'm starting to pay things on eBay sending cash in
registered letters and let rest that card some time.

well tolstoyed, if the music-industry does go down in a
couple of years time (due to all the downloading going on),
at least you can say you tried your very best to save them
;-)

I buy maybe 2 or 3 (sometimes more... but never 20) cd's a
month. It's a painfull thought that i'm missing out on so
much... life is just too short to buy every good album AND
to listen to it properly.

im doing everything in my power to save the industry. yes
hehe
about time-i usually work about 4 hours a day-that is the
time im not listening to music-beside that music all the
time :)

4 hours work a day, and a salary high enough to spend 700

for me it's just a way of getting to know music ;-)

If i like what i'll hear, i'll hunt down the originals
somehow. It just doesn't feel "real" enough otherwise. Plus
I'm a huge fan of Kim's visual art :-) I need the covers
aswell.
