Heheh

Yeah, well I'm still in the same place but I'm doing less
mapping work and more computer programming.... it's actually
fucking decent! Getting into it like... I would be in work
typing like a mad cunt but I got a fuckin abcess and am
bunking off! How's my favourite IDM artist?

You're right! I'm working on a program for a little box
which I'll attach to the can machines in work, thus giving
me TWO for the price of ONE every time!

Well, not really. Just boring shite I guess

I've got that remix, I'll listen to it now in a bit (when I
wake up a bit more) - have u got the link for Flea's zebox
thingy too?

Ta

Well I started off with data conversion, and now I'm going
on to loads of GIS related crap... it's all very very dull
but the actual programming is strangely satisfying =oD

Global/Geographical (depending on who you ask) Information
Systems. It's the technology that chain stores use to decide
the best place financially to place their next store.

It's fairly similair to data
manipulation/statistics/databases in theory, although I've
never programmed anything to do with it...

Ceri! You old bastard, how's it going? Are we still up for
ATP? Our net's been down for ages and we're only now back
online!

Alright Matey!

Yep, I'm def. still up for ATP 2003 if you are, we need to
book soon though. Who do you want to sort out the booking?
You & Pogo/ Me & Chris?

If you want you can post checks to me and I'll book as soon
as I get them (if we can't get a booking I'll post them
back) or vice versa.

Good to have you back online mate.

OK, I've never written a cheque in my life but I suppose I
can get it done somehow, probably be on the 25th or
thereabouts, when I get paid =oD

There were a coupla bods down here who were interested in
coming as well but they're probably a bit too unreliable so
fuck it, we'll get a 4 berth methinks

like the way you avoided marlowe's last question ;o)

Jar puts lamposts on maps in swansea =oD

Computor programming will be cool though, he can teach me
how to loads of funky shit

BTW Jar, Jayne said that she may come too, I'll drop her a
mail now and let you know.

Can you get the cash off any of your mates, if we go ahead
and book I don't want to end up out of pocket with a surplus
ticket if someone drops out.

Is it cool if keyfumbler comes too?

Bear in mind 8 berths have sold out...

Pogo/Jar: is Jayne your mate who came to Pogo's 21st?

Oh yeah, if she comes then she pays up front, definitely.
We'll cover all our costs when we send the money to you.

I don't think anyone else I know wants to come, so if Jayne
is up for it then we need a sixer, so Keyfumbler is in. If
she isn't, then we need to find another to make up the
numbers...

Jayne is indeed that goth looking witch who came to Cardiff
=oD

Keyfumbler said he has already got tickets with his mates.
I've just checked, there are 5 berths still avialable, but I
think I read that they had nearly sold out of 5 berths...

Email me as soon as you have the cash so we can make a
move...
I just hope they don't cash my rent check till after payday
:S

hey Jar...just wanted to say I read...Dice Man on your
recommendation....a fantastic read!...and can now see where
Chuck Palahniuk got some of his inspirations for Fight
Club....it's Dice Man with Sex replaced with violence with a
dash of the S.C.U.M manifesto thrown in for good measure...

Ha ha and "Choke" (Palahniuk's latest book) is fight club
with sex replacing violence so it's gone full circle :)

Dobbin: Shut it!

Ceri: I say we just go for a four berth, Jayne fucking hates
IDM anyway (I shall discuss this with the missus)

Flea: It IS a great read, innit? Avoid the sequel like the
plague though =oD

I'm looking forward to 'Lullaby', Chuck's new book. Last
time I looked on his website you could enter a contest to
have your name used as a character, dunno if that's still
going

yeah a great read..and yeah I will believe the warning about
the sequel...the concept was stretched a bit too thin..and
was petering out by the end of the book...cant imagine it
lasting another 400 odd pages without cracking and
peeling...

so is it like partly fact based?

I remember reading a little about it on the web when I'd
finished it and there wasn't really much info, but I'm
fairly certain it's entirely fictional... perhaps he did
apply some of the things in the book to his life but I doubt
it was quite as extreme as in the book =o)

The sequel is about his son trying to locate him... it's a
piss poor effort really, and lacks any of the humour of the
first book. Indeed it's written in a completely different
style and has hardly anything in common with the prequel.
Read Irvine Welsh instead! I just finished 'Trainspotting'
and 'The Acid House' and I haven't laughed so much since
'American Psycho'

for it, but at least we have the net back (Lucifer also gave
us a box of donuts, nice chap). We are doing good, I'm

read both the Welshes in question..funny stuff.. :)

I recommend the Ecstasy Club by Douglas Rushkoff...it's a
funny take on the rave scene..similar making and destruction
of a cult theme as in Dice Men and Fight Club..it's a bit
dry but it's a good spoof of the music scenes of the early
90's a lot if I could relate to..

Skin by Kathe Koja is another good one..it dismantles the
Performance Art Body Modificaton and Industrial music scene
of the early 90's as well..though lumped in with Horror..it
isnt...she has the most lyrical and amzingly poetic writing
style as well...

it after Minority Report =oD And I shall have a look round
for the Koja too... well, once I've finished the three
hundred or so unread books glaring at me from across the
room heh

cool:)
the best thing about Ecstasy Club is the little spot the
cultural Icon/Organisation game..going on in there..people,
bands, magazines, organisations..very thinly veiled and
amusingly sent up..:)
