something unusual today from a brilliant architect!
*hopes nacmat is doing well*
Everything you've learned in school as `obvious' becomes less and less
obvious as you begin to study the universe. For example, there are no
solids in the universe. There's not even a suggestion of a solid. There are no absolutecontinuums. There are no surfaces. There are no straight lines.
-R. Buckminster Fuller, engineer, designer, and architect (1895-1983)

The inventor of Bucky balls. Unfortunatly this great invention costs five times the amount of diamonds to make.

I don't really understand what he means by 'there are no solids in the universe' but I know this guy thanks to Add N to (X) who borrow his name for one of their tracks.
NB: there's 3 natural states (gaz - liquid - solid) for each element of the periodic table.

Maybe he's referring to the fact that molecules (?) never totally stop moving, even in solids, unless it's at absolute zero (which, i believe, only exists in theory)...or course I have no idea what I'm talking about. I got a C in chemistry.
