gee thats too bad zeus :( i like the second one better..the
whiter one. I think you should still simplify them
more...theyre a bit busy...

you could name your cd:

1) The Summer LP

or

2) The Solstice LP

2nd one is great
why the title though? coil already made an ep called that

dammit another one?

i named it that cause
A. I like the sound of the words
B. The idea to make a cd was thought up this summer,
and C. it means the longest day of summer... and the album
was kind of concept album... at least how i envision it...
one day during the summer... the longest one... and these
surreal events that happen.... or something

i seriously didnt think anyone else had released an album
under this name though...

phobs, if you read this... i still need to get those nature
pics from you sometime

(not now... im at work)

can you IM/email me the address? Thanks man!

they're coil... (but a search on "summer solstice" albums on
AMG ends up with 8 results)

i don't think it really matters if several albums/EPs have
the same name, as long as the artists are different you
can't really get lost -- and "summer solstice EP" sounds
good to me! :)

i think the first one is better,
less colour saturating, and more interesting contrasts with
the lp title!
i like the grey way the light colours are mixed up...
first one sure ;o)

ok, but it stilll didnt make it very clear...

the label is summersolstice, and the album is bee stings?

it didnt say anything about coil until the last 2 paragraphs

offline uzim on 2002-10-07 11:01 [#00395298]

no... you can call it the summer solstice EP, or bee stings,
or "summer solstice: bee stings" as you wish ' _ '

they did an EP for each season (solstice/equinox)...

I prefer the second one and as a designer I would have to
say thet they have been a little too Photoshopped. If I look
at an image and can see the entire process I don't like it.

Another example is 'Blur's 13'. Photoshop is fantastic but
everyone has gone through the filters and is a little to
familiar with the end results.

neither, I guess.

they look too 'homegrown', like you're trying too hard (keep
it simple).
