I have read and loved the book but after seeing Johny
Mnemonic..have no interest in seeing it being filmed..Ghost
in the Shell is virtually a filming of this book..an AI
becoming self aware..

well yeah, jonny mnemonic sucked. but the original lord of
the rings was pretty bad and that didn't stop peter jackson.
i still have hope they'll find a way to make this one into a
movie.

the problem lies with the fact that while Gibson's got a
gift for wods..his tastes and vision otherwise kinda
suck..his idea of avant garde music is U2..

Oy! I loved that book. Tricky to make a movie out of it that
would satisfy the readers... But what the heck: Yes! I would
like to see a movie made out of it! However, I say NO to U2.
NO!

great book.

in the last interview with Cunningham he said he hasn't
dropped it completely - he's waiting for a new version of
the script by Gibson, and Gibson is too busy writing a new
book.
