Aphex Twin style drum and bass is called BREAKCORE. Same with some of Squarepusher's stuff. . . it's not even drill 'n' bass. Basically, it's taking the quirks and distinctions of jungle/dnb and exacerbating them to a ridiculously UNDANCEABLE degree. If you tried to spin 54 Cymru Beats or Taking Control in a club you'd clear the dancefloor INSTANTLY! |

at my mates 18th party they played some aphex cant remember, think it was 54 cymru beats and yep the dance floor cleared except for me and bout 7 others everyone thought we were spasticated dancing to it with random body movements.....oh and i find drill n bass etc difficult to make too but not impossible its just the lots of complex drum programming that gets to me.takes ages |
