Does anyone here like them? My dad just let me borrow Uninvisible. He likes jazz/bop a lot -- so do I. Good bonding tool, I guess. Anyway, It's a pretty good record.

yeah =)
lately on my family's upright grand piano i've been workin on a bluesy tune in a C# pentatonic scale. i'm sorta pretending as if i'm making a soundtrac for a sci-fi film, but different from most sci-fi music. i'm trying to make low-down, raw, minimalistic blues instead of the flashy, polished typical space music ;)
btw what kinda jazz is is mm&? is it laid-back swing stuff or speedy acid jazz or...?

They are not any kind of traditional jazz. I guess you could say that they belong to the downtown jazz scene and that's enough for people into that kind of thing.

Wow, that's interesting Pachi.
Yeah, Meho's right. On this record they've actually got some turntablists to come in and do some wicked scratching. There's some electronics thrown in too, but not a whole, whole lot. Good to drive to, or just put on when you're hanging out with someone.

Yeah, they have collaborated with a lot of downtown artists, the inevitable John Zorn among others.

Hehehe...
That's cool. I'll have to check into it. I was at the shop the other night, looking in the 'experimental' section. Zorn's got a lot of material released.

I was just exchanging email with this brazilian guy who's also into zorn, here's what he says:
"YES, I like John Zorn. Once I was really into tracking him down...but then I
realized the only way I could ever consider doing that would be if the
fucked died. He puts at least 30 albums out in a year, that's fucked up."
Word up. I have somewhere over 30 Zorn-related albums and I'm only scratching the surface.
