That will play mp3s backwards. Preferably free (or easy to
download) and for the Mac. (OS X if possible).

hmm... i suppose you know you could convert them to wave,
reverse them, and re-encode them as mp3's. you're asking for
a winamp plug-in or standalone that does that smoothly and
quickly. dunno :) try looking for it on winamp.com tho!

well there are lots of decoder programs for mp3's but i like
to use Total Recorder myself

iTUNES converts mp3s to wav

go to edit, prefrences, go to encoding (importing?) and
select wav encoder, instead of mp3 encoder.

then you go to advanced...and wa la, it now converts to wav
instead of mp3

(remember to change it back though)

you can also do it directly through winamp by going to
preferences, plug-ins, output, and choosing "diskwriter"
