How many of you would agree with me when I say that this is
by far one of the scariest films ever made, maybe even the
scariest.

Nah.. I'd say the Blair Witch, the first one.. and The
Exorcist is a classic.

The only movie that I've ever been truly scared was the
Blair Witch Project. It was so real, and it felt so FAMILIAR
for some reason. I've always loved wandering around scary
forests in the night and all that stuff, hiking, exploring.
I just imagined myself in their situation and I was freaked
out.

That's the only movie that I can honestly say disturbed me.
I've seen a lot of scary ones, but I can always shrug them
off right after. This one had me scared to into the woods
across the street.

The only movie I have ever found scary was Gandhi. There is
something evil living in the pictures and it wants to get
me.

Requiem For A Dream was far from scary. What's scary about
wooden acting, a rubbish plot and stupid camera angles?

Theres a Prequel coming out of Silence Of The Lambs in the
near future.. cant remember the title, though they still
have anthony hopkins signed up for it and I think the other
lead role was played by Ed Norton.

Red Dragon based on the first book which I beleive was
already made into a film called Manhunter starring some
fella.

ahh, there are more people who agree that SOTL isn't scary
at all. I thought I was the only one. I hear some comments
on Blair Witch, but how about Cannibal Holocaust, some very
old obscure film that probably spawned the idea for Blair
Witch. CH has some crew going into some remote rainforest to
look for cannibals, it's filmed like it's a documentary too
but because it's so old and has such terrible music this one
really is the only one I can think of.

I like silence of the lambs a lot. 2nd one= not as much but
still good.

anyone remember this movie where a guy captured his victims
with a cloth dabbed in that chemical biology students kill
frogs with? then he wanted to do the worst thing possible he
could think of so buried them alive? There was a part where
he described his wicked insight, he said one day he wanted
to jump off the top of his 2 story house so he just did it
(and broke his legs or something)... and he tried the
chemical on himself as an experiment to see how long he'd be
out. anyone remember the name of that movie?

Cannibal Holocaust did give the BW makers the idea. They've
said it themselves in interviews.

nah, I don't agree.
The last part of the movie. The scene in the dark is scary
tho.

I always interpret that scene from the killer's shoes,
rather than the victim.

That's 'Vanishing'. Jeff Bridges, Kiefer Sutherland and
Sandra Bullock. That movie is so disturbing. Maybe because
Sandra Bullock dissapears and she does die. No happy ending
there, but it was better that way.
