emotion is everything

the meaning of life is of significance, but emotion is
everything.

The first thing we ask people when we meet them is whats up?
(reflecting our current emotional state)

If you can control your emotions in a figurative way, then
in my opinion you control life.

This is why music is so important to us.

And I as musicmaker wishes to control emotion in life and
creative output

By being in touch with our emotions we are able to defend
ourselves against the evils of the matrix.

Hehehehe!!!

This topic is too deep, I can't absorb what you're saying.
But emotions are... nice... and awful... nicely awful.

I like how a lot of stuff Autechre has done sounds lacking
in emotion... that in ITSELF is an emotion, so robotic and
cold and indifferent.

Of course they have some stuff with a lot of feeling, too,
but they can be so cold.

agreed, Autechre do sound cold with their music quite
often... I guess they try to, but that's one of the main
reasons I loose interest in their music every now and
then... but then, some songs like Rae and Corc for instance,
and Cichli are just burst with it...

hummm i agree with marlowe....however i'm a control freak so
it's a constant battle i wage with myself.

i find in some things i have extreme patience.....i've
learned that time will take care of things if i hold off
doing anything.

however sometimes extreme emotion can bring forth loss of
control and thats a scarey day!

i wouldn't say i control life tho.....well my life
maybe....but not anyone elses.

hummm interesting point to ponder

cold.

controlling emotions is bad

Too true man which is why I can't understand those who have
little interest in music.

I disgree marlowe, controlling emotions is sometimes
necessary. When it comes to anger I'm a brooder. I get
increasingly pissed off but I contain it and eventually the
containement field dies and I errupt ! Erm come to think of
it that kinda invalidates my point. Ho hum I'll go and do
some yoga !

Emotions are merely the consequence of highly complex
serotonin/dopamine exchanges on a synaptic level in the
brain. No need to get all mellow... :-)

Stop analysing everything damn you ;)
I think there can be beauty in coldness - autechre being a
good example of that. I'm probably biased tho. as winter is
my fave season.

Autechres music is filled with an unbeleivable amount of
emotion. If you think it's cold you are missing something.
