I hope the Caustic Window compilation is pressed at 45 so
then I can listen to AFX Dub the way I think it should be,
namely at 33.

But the Caustic Window compilation was already put out on
vinyl again at the same time as the CD...

It was pressed to 45. I have the original Joyrex J4 at 45
too so it won't be changed from that. amazing depth, good
shit.

I'd like Joyrex 4 and 5 just for R2D2 and Popcorn, they're
fantastic tracks.

That's good to hear...

Seems like AFX is getting more into re-releasing
stuff....bodes well for other stuff...(did someone say
HAB?)...

Yeah, first The Remixesâ„¢, then ABB3, now Caustic Window,
all in the space of a couple of weeks.

Spikee...here the original message from Rephex..

"hello mike - to clear up the biz on yr forum - we are
releasing abb3 vinyl
only with all the tracks as they are on the cd release for
the first time -
re-mastered re-packaged and re-ordered for lushness.
gonna re-release caustic window lp on vinyl as well again
very soon so the
good people don't have to pay high prices for it .
of course as soon as we get abb3 -it's in the post to you -
same as caustic
which hopefully will be really soon.
cheers for now - see you at dedbeat.
marcus"...

Looks like the reasoning is so people don't have to pay
loads of the relatively rare vinyl...(altho whether that's
the actual reason, I've no idea...)...

The CD of ABB3 is easy to get hold of as it was re-released
not that long ago; I see it in most stores I go in that have
AFX have ABB3...no huge difference between original CD &
re-release, I've got both and it's just minor labeling
details...

Vinyl versions of ABB3 should keep their value as they are
diff to this remastered CD-tracks-on-vinyl release...

Thumbs up for Rephlex...

hiya Meho...yeah, I'm doing well....

just grabbing a few minutes on the web...Students start
enroling here next week and things have gone utterly
crazy..I'm surprising myself by actually enjoying working
hard, I'm such a lazy slack bastard most of the time, I'd
kinda forgotten the joy of hardcore programming...

And my Laptop came back from the dead yesterday...gave up on
it a few months back & it's been gathering dust on my
desk...had a weird feeling and thought I'd try and plug it
in again, noy hoping for anything...and the fucking thing
started first time...how weird is that?...never experienced
that before; computers don't just start working again
without you doing something......

That's really made my week...means I can get all my
electronic life back on one machine now...I'm all spread out
around 3 machines & that always makes me feel vaguely
schizo...

Plus I've had my head shaved again which always makes me
happy...it's terrorist chic, darling :)...(some total
stranger came up to me in the street and said "you look like
an Italian assasin on holiday"...I was too besmused to think
of a decent reply...think he must have been pissed or
something...)...

all part of sad scheme to ensure no-one ever sits next to me
on the bus & I get an undisturbed journey... :)... hehe, I'm
such a gentle soul at heart but I do look pretty severe I
guess if you don't know me....

how's tings with you?

Uhm, it's shitty: I have some work to do and I'm just too
lazy so I keep posting here instead of doing this
translation. Other than that I'm enjoying new DJ Vadim,
Urban Renewal compilation and RJD2 album. I was wondering
about those MP3's we mentioned the other day...

ABB3 vinyl is available from next Friday (30th August) at
phonoclub.de so the release date is probably Monday 2nd (the
day I'm off to England)

oh yeah..I know that lazy feeling too well...I really should
be here now & people are rushing around like speedfreaks on
a mission...I feel a bit guilty slacking when everyone else
is so stressed out...

Got a long weekend coming up (Mondays Bank Holiday) so
expect something next week...just did a load of
Mp3mixing/music software disc for Ceri yesterday and you're
next on my list...

I'm loving that AKUFEN album...think I'm gonna see what I
can find more in the CD shops over the weekend...plus some
more Richard Devine (seem to have totaly fallen in love with
his sound...Track2 of Lipswitch rocks my world...)...

Hmm, dude, can I send you an email with a short list of what
I'd like to see on that CD? I 'm happy you like Akufen. Did
you like Tomas Jirku at all?

Yes, Nice one Rephlex. I have Caustic Window comp on CD and
AB3 on CD, I also have Joyrex J4 but to be able to get
Caustic Window comp on vinyl again will be sweet, i'll be
getting that for sure. I can't wait to own AB3 on vinyl
too.

I hope this keeps up, The way I see it I can either get HAB
on vinyl for a total of £100 or get it in a funky new box
from Rephlex for like £10, retire a crappy bootleg and put
that £90 towards new Rephlex CDs. I really want that
YeeKing CD as I have this 'Trash' CD with him and other
Drill n Bass on and he sounds pretty cool. Nicenice. ^-^
*swishies tail*

Rephlex didn't release HAB though, that was Warp.

No, But I have friends who can. }:)

Phatbert; Nitpicking? Yes, you are right but either way it
will still be cool to own it on CD and I can allocate more
money to my Rephlex collection. :)

I doubt R2D2 and Popcorn will appear on the repress...for
obvious reasons.

Perhaps this time they'll include Humanoid Must Not Escape
on the vinyl version.

hey, jand! i dont mean to be a beggar or anything like
that but i remeber reading in a thread last week that you
have extra original AB2's or something like that just like
kickin' it, sitting around collecting dust and stuff, what's
up bro? spread the wealth!

when they say "caustic window lp" i assume they don't mean
caustic window THE ALBUM (not the joyrex ep's or
"Compilation"). too bad :(

as for boc, yea they're reissuing twoism this year. dunno
the release date yet.

Got 3 ABB3s but no spare AB2s...

Not long to go now for this re-release...it's the remasted
bit that interests me, I liked what they did with the ABB3
re-issue; hopefully this'll have similar treatment....
