Anyone tried Miso?
It's similar stuff fermented Soya I think. It's a pick me
up type thing.

Miso - of coarse! Japanese food is EXCELLENT!

licence - marmite is revolting, NOTHING like nuttela, not
sweet. If there's a Marks&Spencer in your state, they would
carry it. Though I think M&S abandoned N.America.

offline Bob Mcbob on 2002-07-18 11:11 [#00314268]

no its not totally solid....i let it pour into my mouth...or
i spread it on the bread so think, light cannot escape its
black surface....

nutella smells great too

heh...I'm in Alaska for the summer...I'll have to get it
shipped over here or something (though that's probably
illegal..?)

is the flavour in the ballpark of anything though? the way
you're describing it, it sounds vegetable based. is it like
v8 or what? it sounds very odd.

offline uzim on 2002-07-18 11:15 [#00314277]

the smell of pipe when it's still lit up...
the smell of night (couldn't describe it, some nights smell
like this, some don't)...
the smell of spices...

offline Bob Mcbob on 2002-07-18 11:17 [#00314280]

I think it's impossible to describe the taste.. you can only
compare it to things.

uzim, I know that smell you're talking about...
it almost always smells that way on Halloween (which is why
it's my favourite holiday)
I forgot about that smell. that'd have to go above all the
other smells. if not for it, I would have no reason to be
creative.

mixed with swamp scum......

we have really boring food in this country though. the only
food here I really like is watermelon, and I'm sure you've
had that before. our food is very pedestrian. oh wait I like
artichoke hearts and kalamata olives too.

You should be able to get hold of some marmite from some
sort of cash and carry internet shop.... It shouldn't be too
hard. S'not like a clas 'A' drug or anything.

I like Markers BTW..... and petrol?
