My dad liked Geogaddi!

I was putting together a version of Geogaddi on tape at the
weekend and my dad came into the living room. As I was going
out I asked if he wanted it muted. He said he didn't care.
When I got back he said he really liked it, he was quite
interested about the band when I told him about them.
Bearing in mind this is a person who likes no music since
about 1970 onwards, I think this is a great day for IDM :)

BoC...so old-fashioned, your parents will like em....

(hehe...that'll upset the BoC fans on here...sometimes feels
like I'm the only one who doesn't rate em...)...

Jesus, I'm smashing my copy of Geogaddi the minute I get
home today. My dad said he liked Prodigy's "No Good" about 8
years ago and it just put me off prodigy for good.

they find the beats to be too jumbled, and the kids voices
freak em out...

my dad never listened to idm.
he said he liked 'mechanical animals' by marilyn manson
though.

Meho Krljic > ...why? do you hate your father?
or do you hate listening to music older people can like? or
music most people can appreciate? :)

I want to die.

They hate Aphex Twin, they hate John Digweed, they hate the
Chemical Brothers, they hate Dave Clarke. . .

And although they have never outright said "I hate your
music, Deathsmith!" they do not hide their feelings towards
my music. They just can't stand it.

i only rate mhtrtc and maybe aboitc

my parents aren't big fans of music, but I've played BoC
around them a few times, and they didn't scream and tell me
to turn it off as they usually do with my music... my mom
said it was nice music one time, and my dad asked what it
was one time when I had Geogaddi playing... I played MHTRTC
one time in my living room where my dad was reading the
paper, and he didn't seem to mind... I would never play
Drukqs or Autechre around them though, I think if they're
gonna like anything it's BoC... :)

bjork's bachelorette was on tv one time when my mom was on
the computer near by...she asked me who it was ..and i told
her...and that i had the cd..she said it was cool and asked
to borrow it..
i gave her homogenic and vespertine..and i think she only
listened to vespertine..

and i also nearly got my pop-rock loving friend into
portishead...after hearing a few tracks from dummy he said
he would buy the cd...but after hearing a few more he
decided he woudnt...i guess he didnt like beth's vocal style
or something..ah well
