I absolutly LOVE Radiohead!! A friend from the internet
talked about them lots so I thought to check them out and
what do you know? They end up being my fav..i guess
'alternative' bands...besides coldplay.

Its sad with coldplay cause their next cd is going to be
their last :( *sniff sniff* I'll have to get it!

But yeah, Radiohead are so sweet...I get as many cds as I
can.

I got:

Pablo Honey
The Bends
Ok Computer
Kid A
Amnesiac
Radiohead Live Sessions
Knives out EP

They are among my all time favorite groups. I own pretty
much all their stuff - my favorites are from Kid A and OK
Computer. Favorite song of all time is How To Disappear
Completely.

i'm not a huge radiohead fan, but i like kid a and amnesiac.
haven't heard much of the older stuff, except for a song
here or there.

i am a MAJOR fan.....have been for years. i own all CD's and
quite a lot of their EP's and some specialty stuff.

OK Computer is one of the BEST CD's of all time (imo)

and i have to say.....i agree with XLR...how to disappear
completely is ONE of the tops.

i can hardly wait till they record their next CD.....which
is supposed to be released this year according to my bf's
WEB page....ehehhe =0)

my advice......BUY MORE esp the EP 'my ironlung'

radiohead was the band that pretty much got me into
music...which i should definitely be grateful for...because
who knows what i might be like now if i hadnt gotten into
music...
ok computer was the first cd i ever bought..and has never
left my cd wallet...after 4 years..and probably never
will...even though i havent listened to it in about a
year...

so yeah...i havent really listened to them that much in a
while..but ill probably always be into them and look forward
to their future releases (which will be coming out sooner
than we think, according to thom)

a whole bunch of Japanese kids at my school have Radiohead
shirts. I also saw some at a Sam Goody in a mall about 3
years ago (wasn't really into them too much at the time
though, thought they were too depressing)

good too.

with the theme from the holy grail! and he played fitter
happier, pulk/pull, and on top of spaghetti (all covered in

i am a big radiohead fan- i love everything from "the bends"
to their last live recordings- only "pablo honey"is slightly
worse, but it is my personal opinion (i know people who like
it very very much). i've heard that this new album is going
to be a guitar-oriented one. are this a good or bad news?
for me- bad one cause i am waiting for another "kid a"
rather than another "ok computer" :o)

thx mr titsworth. i wish it would be "electronic/machine
oriented". and if this collabo with autechre was possible...
but it is not- i think sean said in the interviev that
they're not going to work with radiohead- they don't have
anything against them but itis not possible (i dont remember
reasons for it)

"amnesiac" vs "kid a"- a lot of peple find the second one
the best of radiohead and "amnesiac" is said to be something
like "kid a" b-sides. i think "amnsc" is better in some
points- and there is "pyramid song" thing. amazingly
beaitifull one. what do you think? which one is better?

They are my favorite band ever. A lot of people don't like
em but they are snobs about it. Holding them to standards
they wouldn't for any other artist. Ignore them.

lately they have become the best band at brining underground
styles to the mainstream.
it's funny how RH dislike the fact that there are so many
bands that sound like them. and on the flip side there are
underground bands who don't really appreciate RH for what
they've done!
music is music and people are always going to influence
other people.

they are a great band and if it is true they are going back
to a guitar based album, then i'm glad!
from what i've heard of their guit playing lately, it is
going to have a real chicago scene sound [not the band
chicago]

one of the best RH album's [imo] is the 'how am i driving'
US EP.
meeting in the aisles is one of their coolest songs!

/s

I love radiohead... I guess they were the ones who sparked
my interest in electronics in music, and electronic music
with Ok Computer and Kid A... I own:
Pablo Honey
My Iron Lung EP
The Bends
Ok Computer
Airbag: How Am I Driving EP
Kid A
Amnesiac
The Live Album

and Ok Computer and Kid A are my favorites... the best of
the pure rock, and the best of the more experimental stuff
(so far)...

I have all the full lengths plus the Airbag and My Iron Lung
EPs and the live record. They are such a creative band and
I love how they change their sound with every recording they
make. I agree with most of you and think "OK Computer" is
their best. I got it when it was relatively new because I
liked the song "Karma Police" but I was disappointed at the
rest. But later I grew to appreciate the record as a whole
and now it's one of my favorites..

when i first heard ok computer i could care less for
radiohead [at this point in my life i was very much
engrossed withthe art of noise] the alst i had heard from
them was pablo honey, and i thought 'anyone who names
themselves after a jerky boys skit needs some serious help.
i was oblivious to the bends [the noise thing again] and
when ok computer arrived i finally gave it a listen after
maybe 8 months or so.
the only track i liked was 'auctioneering' [very tongue in
cheek] the rest i thought was a little to blah. the
following week when someone made the comment that i must be
pissed because ok computer sounded a lot like the material i
had been working on for years i nearly fell over with
disappointment.
i gave up guitar and purchased my first afx album the RDJ
album.
my new calling!
i took my drum machine that i had caked with hip hop and
james brown beats and doubled the speed and then picked up
my axe again.
a bit later i came to respect radiohead and realised that
the comment that made me quit guitar was actually quite a
positive compliment of the highest regard.
life is strange.

you know, i first started to listen to radiohead when pablo
honey came out, and i remember thinking "these guys are
pretty neat..." they were one of the bands that i listened
to once in a while but not often. i was more of a pixies,
jane's addiction, B 52's, Talking Heads kinda girl. but i
tell you what, when the bends came out and i heard "street
spirit fade out" and more over, when i saw the video i
became hooked. now i lived in russia when OK Computer came
out and i paid $2 for a boot leg, and i remember listening
to it in my portable cd player in the netro on my way home.
i sware to god, it changed my life musicly and artisticly. i
started to look into anti-globalisation stuff and the sort
of stuff i had read Thom Yorke was into.. not only that, i
was an art student and i found i worked very well while it
was playing. i really enjoyed OK Comp, and found it to be
pretty experimental as far as rock/alternative music went at
the time, but when Kid A cam out, i nearly peed myself. so
beautiful!!! and then Amenisaic!!! i think the direction
they are going in is fucking brilliant, and fuck wheat
people say about their infantile attempts at "electronica".
i think it is brilliant. if you listen to pablo honey, then
to amnisiac, you can really feel the great leap of skill
they have made.... i personly love them. i am the biggest
dork some times, i have twop radiohead shirts, two radiohead
stickers on my car, and when i am at my dorky-est, i am
wearing one of those shirts, while driving in my car (with
the stickers slapped on the back) and listening to
radiohead....

amen.

I love Radiohead, OK Computer is perhaps the greatest album
ever made...

They're the reason I'm here, kind of... they got me into
electronic music with Kid A.

Not in a Radiohead phase right now, but I still listen from
time to time. Amnesiac had some great moments, can't wait to
see what they do next. I'd prefer them to stick to
progressive rock rather than pure electronic, though... keep
the guitars.

Thanksomuch, never see you around anymore!

Ok Computer never changed my life immediately... it was more
of a grower, but my goodness did it grow... I loved it
immediately because goodness, the songs are so damn catchy,
but it took me a while to really appreciate how amazing it
is...

I think Kid A is amazing because of the way it mixes IDM in
with rock... I wouldn't call it a pure electronic album, or
pure rock album, but an excellent mixture!!
