I bought SOSW!!!

rob fragilenine from aus on 2001-07-13 10:15 [#00014791]

I can't believe I found this album (polygon window - surfing
on sine waves), and it was in a mainstream CD shop too! I
also can't believe how good it is! There are no bad tracks
in my opinion! I also discovered that it is a misprint: on
the face of the disc, it says it has 9 tracks, but when you
put it in the player, it has 11! It says it has 11 tracks on
the inlay cover, but not on the actual face of the cd...

It's because you bought be 2001-reissue of the CD. This
might explain why it was in your local store.

Congrats man, SOSW kicks ass!

You see Rob,

lots of impressions stored in chimps mind! SOSW is a
masterpiece!

;-)

I totally agree that it's a masterpiece. I particularly like
tracks 9 and 11.

There are two bonus tracks.

Also, it's one of RDJ's most commercial albums. Definitely
the easiest to find of his techno stuff.

I agree it's ace though.

I've got the original, can anyone tell me if it's worth
buying the new reissue just for the two bonus trax? Bearing
in mind I hate CDs . . .

I don't think it's worth buying the whole album again. The
new 2 songs are quite nice but I would suggest you to dl
them anywhere.

dont buy. download them insted, it aint worth 17 quid for
two tracks

Chimp Systems from Flat Mountain on 2001-07-13 10:47 [#00014811]

Ho Kay Then. I won't bother with it . . . I love that era of
AFXs stuff though, all that acid and stomping kickdrums. If
Warp were reeeeally lovely they'd put those two xtra trax
out as a 12" for all the people who've already got SOSW.

Chimp Systems from Flat Mountain on 2001-07-13 10:49 [#00014812]

Wow - 'xtra trax' looks really good written down doesn't it?
I'm gonna call a tune xtra trax...

Mr Rival: At the mo all my music is stored on hard copies,
Mini Discs, Zip Discs and CDs. But I'm going to get a mate
of mine who knows about this sort of thing to turn some my
tunes into MP3 files, then I'll get em put on the web
somewhere. I wouldn't have a fucking clue, me, I can't be
arsed learning new things on computers (I know I should
really). I just finished my World War 2 Junglist tune last
night, thats gonna one of the first to get converted . .
