Which pink floyd era do you like best, the barrett, waters,
or gilmour era?

For me it's definitely the Water's era... Meddle, Dark Side,
Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall... come on, each is a
classic album... is there really a case for the others?

There's such a small amount of Barrett material compared to
the rest so it's hard to make a judgement.

I like just about everything up to and including Wish You
Were Here, the rest has a few highlights, but is mostly
tedious.

what I mean with this thread is which Pink Floyd leader do
you like best? Barret, Waters, or Gilmour?

It's not really that simple. I like Barrett and Waters,
until Waters' ego kicked into overdrive.

yeah ok... but I mean, I like some Gilmour stuff, but I
still like the Water's floyd better...

I refuse to compare the three. Each era had a completely
different style...So it really which type of music you
prefer...I love Dark Side of the Moon equally as much as
Meddle, Ummagumma...

Roger Water's led Pink Floyd back in their hay day... now

I saw waters live in 99' in Columbus, and I saw Pink Floyd
here also in 94'. Floyd sounds better live than they do on
cd. It makes waters sound pretty shitty...

Barret IS Pink Floyd. Waters' era is what got me into Pink
Floyd and even if his ego really got a bit out of hand
later, I still rate The Wall very, very high. Gilmour's era
is soulless, hollow imitation. I have no time for it.
